Boston College C/O 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
The Law School
The Main Campus
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
To apply for admission, you must submit:
-The completed and signed application for admission (apply online through LSAC).
-Two letters of recommendation, to be submitted through the LSAC Letter of Recommendation service. We prefer that these letters be from college professors who can attest to your ability to enter a rigorous academic program. If you have been out of school for some time, letters from employers may be helpful. The Letter of Recommendation service is included in your CAS registration subscription. The letter will be sent electronically along with your CAS report. To use this service, follow the directions for submitting letters outlined on the LSAC.org website.
-A personal statement. We are interested particularly in learning about your motivation and preparation for the study of law as well as any circumstances that you believe relevant to the evaluation of your credentials.
-The non-refundable application fee.
-Official transcripts of all collegiate, graduate and professional study directly to the CAS.

Last year people had "under review" on their status checker by Halloween. That doesn't seem to be the case this year.

I've been complete since 10/21, with no other movement. If the past few years are any indication we won't hear anything until December...

Checking in. Does everybody applying want Boston as their market? I imagine this is generally the case, though I'm inclined to think BC/BU place well into New England small law broadly.

Not really, but the Northeast is my #2 region after the Mid Atlantic. BC is my safety Safety, however I would seriously consider going here over ND if it should come to that(Provided I get a nice amount of scholarship $$$).Otunga wrote:Checking in. Question for you guys. My apps are for the most part ready to go out, and BC is definitely one of my choices, but did you guys do anything special for the PS? My PS doesn't specifically talk about "why law school" but I noticed that it mentions that in the BC application instructions. Any thoughts?
Otherwise, ready to apply once I nab my LSAT score. Boston is definitely one of my top destinations for the long term.

Does anyone have an under review status, or are we all sitting at complete? Maybe they're starting later this year or doing away with the under review status?

Submitted two weeks ago and still no email receipt from BC. Are other people in the same boat? It's the only school I never received a "we got your application" email from.

Checking in. Submitted yesterday and they confirmed receipt of my app. This is probably nothing indicative of admission chances, so don't worry.pompoms wrote:Submitted two weeks ago and still no email receipt from BC. You might want to call the admissions office just to make sure they've received everything.
Cheers.

Did everyone just receive that email about the public service scholarship?
