Got the acceptance today! I'm below both medians, so I'm super stoked. Does anyone know the specifics about obtaining in state residency? Oh, btw my letter was postmarked 12/19 and I'm on the east coast.

Received the USB with acceptance letter in the mail today! One of the best Christmas gifts so far! I am below median for LSAT but above for GPA.

Even though I haven't received it in the mail yet, you are all giving me hope that its an acceptance. My numbers are decent so I'm going to go ahead and assume that because I'm going out of town for a few days. Merry Christmas everyone!

Obtaining in-state residency in Arizona is near impossible. If you haven't been living here for 2+ years, have an Arizona licensed vehicle/driver's license, and paid taxes in Arizona for the last year at least...you will not get it.

Thanks for the info. I just read up a bit on this topic through the admitted student website. It seems that as long as you establish residency 1 year prior to June 30th 2015 and meet basic qualifications (they give a list), they will guarantee in-state tuition for your 2nd and 3rd year. Essentially if your petition to obtain in-state status is denied, they (the law school) will reduce your tuition to the in-state level for your 2nd and third year. Pretty cool.

So I just checked my status checker and it said the decision letter was sent off on 12/20. I live in Arizona and still haven't received it. When was everyone else's sent?

You'll probably either get it today or tomorrow (account for Christmas day mail delay). Mine was mailed on 12/19 and I got it on 12/24. I'm on the East coast. GL!

Mine was mailed on 12/18 and I haven't gotten it yet. I live in San Diego which is pretty close. It's weird how people further away got theirs first. It seems like usps delivers things across the country quicker than locally.

I'm just saying don't bank on it. The "basic qualifications" are very in depth. I went to undergrad here and didn't get in stet until my fourth year.

My status said the letter was mailed on 12/20. Still hasn't arrived. The anticipation is turning my hair white, one strand at a time. I'm going to show up to torts looking like Doc Brown.

They do a little deal where they run you through what you have to do. One person asked and last year of the 9 who participated only 1 was denied by both the main school and the law school so basically just make sure you do all the stuff on their time line and you should be ok. It is different from the main school which can be a huge pain.

Just so everyone knows, Financial Aid told me that scholarship information will be released February 1st. If you call in, you can add your name to a call back list so if you receive money, they'll call you that day and you won't have to anxiously wait around for the letter! :)

Anyone hear anything back about a travel stipend? Also, I was doing some research about their Qualified Tuition Reduction program, and it seems like an awesome deal, however I doubt it would work for law school students since we are not allowed to work our first year anyways...
