not an applicant this cycle, but just noticed that out of state tuition was 29,000 at the website, is this a typo, or is this real. If thats true, its ridiculously cheap!

Thats what I thought too, but then this morning I just came across this page, and all the way at the bottom, it says 29,000 https://www.law.arizona.edu/admissions/costs.cfm. I am not sure if its a typo, or has tuition reduced

I wouldn't doubt that number. UofA is very very well priced

yea, as an out of state applicant next cycle, if its 29,000 tuition, i will be ecstatic!, schools in my state has in state tuition of like 47,000 and cost of living is ridiculously high. So, at tuition that low for Arizona, plus If could get residency after 1st year, I will not have a lot of debt, and will be perfectly fine with settling in arizona, so as of right now Arizona is one of my top options.

Waitlisted as of 4/4, better than a rejection! Does anyone know the best way to get off the wait list or if UofA has a history of pulling a decent amount from the list?

It's nice to see U of A take this step. While it still isn't cheap, it's definitely a step in the right direction. Meanwhile, ASU (my alma mater) is making a huge mistake by opening a new, expensive law building in Phoenix, which will have to be financed in part by raising tuition.

I'm not sure their history, but I would recommend you write a continuing interest letter to their office of admissions. I have heard of many others recommending this, so just passing it along. In the letter include why you want to go there (the programs, the location, etc.). If it is your first choice, tell them that. It cannot hurt! Good luck!!

Will I actually receive something in the mail from UofA? I got an acceptance email about a week ago with acceptance/scholarship letters attached.

Also, the New Admit checklist they have mentions setting up a student email and getting a parking pass. Both of these things require a student ID. It says on the website that your ID/pin should be included in your acceptance letter but mine didn't have any?

You should... I received a jump drive in the mail with some information included on it. I would e-mail or call the admissions department because parking passes go fast! There was no ID/pin in the documents on my jump drive. Luckily, I went to ungrad there, so it was easy to obtain that information. I just went online to apply for my parking pass and one of the lots is already gone. No need to stress though, there are still lots of options for parking!

Good luck!

Anywhere north of broadway is pretty good. Check in jefferson park or sam hughes though. Very nice neighborhoods! Also I saw some people posting on here earlier about a parking pass, completely unnecessary if you live close enough to campus. I bike to campus everyday and its not bad at all. Plus, those parking passes are expensive!

Thanks for this advice. Also would love to hear from anyone familiar with the Tucson area.
