I am still currently waiting for my decision. My file was completed on 1/22/2014 and has been under committee review since 4/8/2014. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I have spoken with the Dean several times as I was in a similar situation. They were flooded with a wave of applications in late January/early February. I received my decision about two weeks ago, but she said that they are trying to get through the last wave of apps.

You definitely are not the only one waiting. Hope this eases a bit of stress.

That being said, they also told me that deposit percentage is very high so far this cycle. The majority (if not all) of the decisions will be waitlist or ding from this point on.

That's kind of odd considering there are only 23 people in the Facebook incoming class group. @MassiveSplit did the dean say if she expects any movement off the waitlist?

Yeah, I noticed that. From her mouth to TLS though haha.
Yes. She referenced last years movement and said they normally admit a significant off of the waitlist. She didn't give any specific numbers.

They are a small school with only a few admin folks. They were really nice and helpful, but keep that in mind when contacting them.

@jsanner2 Really? That sucks for me because AZ is my top choice and this means I have to pay a second deposit to my safety school. Did they say if there's any chance they will look into the waitlist earlier than then and did they mention how many spots are potentially going to open up?

I didn't really pry - this was just a reply to my email reiterating interest and noting an update to my application.


It's a bummer for me too; I'll be paying another chunk of deposit money as well.

I didn't go to the summer social, but I went to the New Admit Weekend events. Roughly 30-35 people came. It was a ton of fun and really intimate since the class size is so small.

I did, it also was a lot of fun and really allowed you to get to know the people that were there. There were only about 10-15 admitted students there as it was a mid-week event.

Ok, I am hopping onto this thread very late, but I'm wondering if anyone is still receiving decisions? I have been in committee review since June 1. Is it normal for decisions to take this long? I have been complete since late March. Also, I called admissions at the beginning of May and they told me that all decisions would be rendered by May 20, but that date came and went without any news.
