Richmond c/o 2017

Post by torresash14 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 11:26 am

I just saw on LSN that someone was accepted yesterday. It is rough without a status checker! Anyone heard anything back yet?

Accepted a few weeks ago. Applied first day apps opened. Sorry for hastiness but I'm typing from iPhone.

Also missed a phone call from Dean Rahman. Should be a good sign.

Just got my acceptance packet and it has stipulations about Dean's Certifications. Anyone else have this? What is the timeline to get it taken care of?

I think this is standard for Richmond. You don't have to get it taken care of right away. Probably by the time you deposit.

I'm fairly positive it doesn't matter, but...were you folks inundated with brochures and booklets? I just received another to my dismay as I thought it might be an acceptance. Of the schools I've applied to, Richmond is far and away the most mailer friendly, and its killing me each time....

I also received the view book within the large envelope. I was almost certain it was an acceptance packet when I saw it.

Surely, they know better than to do this. Particularly to those who have already applied.

Someone over there is having some fun at our expense!

I got the good call from Dean Rahman on Christmas eve :) my numbers aren't significantly over their medians but I was hoping for a scholarship, even a tiny one, nonetheless. She didn't mention any scholarship info but she said I'd get my official packet after the school opened after the holidays. If I didn't hear from her about a scholarship via phone, is it safe to say I'm out of the running for one even in March?

To anyone else accepted did Dean Rahman give you scholarship numbers when she called or did she say that would come in March?

Also anyone planning to go to admitted students day?

@Zipper, Dean Rahman gave me an estimate on the scholly numbers but said it wouldn't be officially released until March.

Others mentioned being bombarded with mail while waiting on a decision. Has anyone received the letter from the U of Richmond Student Bar Association saying, "..pleased to learn of your interest in the University........we hope you'll give serious consideration to the University...."

I have received mail 3 or 4 times now, still haven't heard of a decision, but this is by far the most odd letter. Is it a standard one they send to all applicants or is it possible my admissions decision was lost in mail?

Thanks
