They called me over a month ago to tell me that they were starting to review my application, but it was my day off and they're an hour ahead of me, so I'm pretty sure I sounded sleepy, confused, and not very articulate. Now I'm doomed to the committee decision, which sounds ominous since others with my stats have been accepted already.

Haha, I'm 6'5'' and 255 at about 17% body fat now. I'm much more built now versus fat I used to be, and I was a lineman. Now, I have been told by coaches they'd do something more productive with me

That being said, I don't know a ton about college football. Could you technically still play while in law school?

I think Bama hates me. Of all the schools to which I've applied that have begun issuing decisions, I've been accepted at all of them - including the likes of Vandy and WUSTL. Guess that's what I get for having a below median LSAT and GPA, thanks to Bama's Berkeley-like medians.

Thanks! I really have no reason to complain given the options I have. I know Bama is a great law school, it's just funny that of all the schools I applied to, this is the only school where I'm below both medians (-1 LSAT and -.03 GPA lol).

Yep, Jts723 is right. PFCD looks like purgatory. A lot of people didn't change from PFCD until April or May. Honestly, I would prefer it if they were just upfront and either wait listed or dinged...

Submitted just over a week ago. Received a phone call from Ms. Griffith when they got my app, received the acceptance call today! I thought it was a nice little touch with the phone calls. Definitely living up to everything I've read/heard. Scholarship offer + desire to live/work in the south definitely pushes this up to the top of the list. Congrats to all the other admits. Good luck to anyone still waiting!

I did, shortly after I submitted. I also had lunch with Ms. Griffith when she came to visit my campus. The personal touch that Bama has is phenomenal.

If PFCD, you might not hear anything until April / beginning of summer.

I must admit that I'm a little surprised to be on the "pre-wait list" as others have called it. So if you're pending a final decision, do you really not hear back until late spring? I will have paid a deposit elsewhere by that point. How does Bama fill a class when they postpone decisions so long for people with numbers at or around the medians? Others have stated how impressed they are with the personal touch from the admissions office; it's been the opposite for me. No calls, e-mails, or anything.
