Ditto. Emory is maybe my top choice...anyone know how people around 163/3.8 tend to fare? I'm not super confident in my chances of admission, much less any tuition discounts.

It wouldn't surprise me. For past cycles, I've heard that only a handful of strong applicants find out before February.

Is anyone planning to attend the LSAC forum in Atlanta tomorrow?

People will probably think this was dumb of me to have done, but I applied Accelerated Decision on the day Emory started taking applications and heard back in five days. In with 166/3.27. Gotta wait until February to hear about scholarship money but I know I'll get at least some because I AD'd.

Congrats, Buck! There's nothing wrong with an AD if you're sure about the school! I'm sure you'll hear back on scholarship info soon.

Thanks! And I do feel good about my decision to AD. Emory was as good a school as I could have hoped to get into and actually where I wanted to go even before I took the LSAT. Conventional wisdom says it would have been wise to apply early but apply to a bunch of other schools and maybe ride a few waitlists but I'm glad I did things the way I did them. Can't wait to start next fall. Good luck to all of you who are waiting on decisions!

Checking in! Haven't visited yet, and it's the only school in the area I've applied to, but it definitely really excites me as a possibility. (especially as the winter sets in...)

Ain't no winter in Atlanta! I was there last weekend and it was 80+. :)

Anyone else get an email from Emory today? They said they're planning on giving out decisions in February. They're really not helping their cause by issuing decisions so late. Hopefully that's just to keep expectations down and might make decisions a bit earlier.

Yeah that "update" email. I mean. Update: you applied. Anyone know if Emory issues money decisions with admission? If not, I'll be waiting forever to decide. Not helpful.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
