that most likely means waitlist. They send WL letters in the mail so it takes a while.taylorswiftfan wrote:As of yesterday, my status on the app status checker said that decision was reached but i have not received anything. Bad sign? or good sign?

Would it be ok to call and ask why I have that on my status and I have not received anything yet? It's been two days but I'm getting anxious. Would that reflect poorly on me if I call the admissions office about this or do they not care?

I live 3 miles from the campus and the WL letter took 4 days to get to me. I haven't seen anyone get a rejection letter via snail mail yet so most likely just a WL letter.JazzieShizzle wrote:that most likely means waitlist. Status checker went complete a few days ago but no phone call and no email. Safe to assume a wait list letter I think? Will update.

Yup, got the wait list letter, but with a note that I could attend the PAST summer program? Anyone else get this/ have any more info? Sounds like Hunger Games for a law school acceptance.

My status checker changed early this morning. I'm hoping for a call otherwise I guess I've been waitlisted What a nerve racking day this should be...

Alright, this is bothering me now so I want to know what you guys think. I just called admissions to ask if a decision had been reached on my file because I'd rather not waste a seat deposit somewhere else. I submitted April 1st, so I didn't expect anything, but needed to double check. The lady told me that I would be notified via e-mail or regular mail, but made no mention of a phone call. Am I being paranoid, or was I basically just told not to expect admission?

Status checker now reflects that a decision was reached. Guess I need to keep my phone close just in case. Did most people get a call the same day? Within a couple days? When do I need to change my expectation to WL?

When did you apply and what are you numbers if you don't mind me asking?givemescholly wrote:Status checker now reflects that a decision was reached. Guess I need to keep my phone close just in case. I got my confirmation email on 4/4 (only took the Feb LSAT so I applied late everywhere). I don't recall when I applied and I'm not near a computer at the moment. My numbers should be in my profile.brian8907 wrote:When did you apply and what are you numbers if you don't mind me asking?givemescholly wrote:Status checker now reflects that a decision was reached. Did anyone else who was waitlisted choose to email their acceptance rather than return the postcard? Do they send you a confirmation email or do I just have to trust that I'm actually on the waitlist?

I filled out the post card and walked it over to the admissions office.givemescholly wrote:Did anyone else who was waitlisted choose to email their acceptance rather than return the postcard? Do they send you a confirmation email or do I just have to trust that I'm actually on the waitlist?

I e-mailed for them to place me on the wait list. I have already paid my seat deposit to a different university so not sure what exactly would happen if I was taken off wait list.haus wrote:I filled out the post card and walked it over to the admissions office.givemescholly wrote:Did anyone else who was waitlisted choose to email their acceptance rather than return the postcard? Did anyone else get the May 15 email regarding the 10-20 offers off the waitlist? And did anyone get an offer yet?

I received the email as well and have heard nothing. The way the email read, it sounded as if they were going to reevaluate every person on the waitlist and then make a decision. I imagine that is particularly time consuming.

I called and they said they will be in touch shortly. I agree that this will probably take time to complete as redsox said above.redsox06355 wrote:I received the email as well and have heard nothing. So it sounds like they haven't made the 10-20 offers yet. From the email, I thought they made them last week. I wonder how long the waitlist is- hopefully not 1,000 like W&M!

decided to call again today. They said that the next seat deposit is due June 1, 2014. So next week they will evaluate how many they can take off the waitlist and send out e-mails.pink_olives wrote:So it sounds like they haven't made the 10-20 offers yet. Also, the waitlist for GMU is "a couple hundred or so" per the admissions office.
