I emailed them about once a week between ASW and last week, reminding them that other schools were offering very large amounts. After incessant "we will surely consider you during the next round of scholarship" style responses, last week I received a in-state tuition waiver (~$40k) + $50k scholarship on top of it. If my suggesting/pestering that I really wanted to go to UW were the reason for them to not offer an admitted student a scholarship, I would be questioning their methods in the first place.cron1834 wrote:You really can't wait 4 hours?corifornication wrote:I thought the admin said they weren't going to negotiate before May 1st. WD. Really wanted to make it work, but had better offers elsewhere. UW was one of my top choices all the way through...
Good luck all!

And good point there. Did you send your letter to anyone in particular or just to the Office of Admissions?

I wasn't selected the first round, but I was offered 30k after the second scholarship review. I made sure to keep persistent and open communication with Dean Le through the process that UW is my top choice.

WD. I'm quite sure they have more money available to give.

I was waitlisted almost a month and a half ago. On a whim, I just popped over to my status checker to see that the "Decision" date had changed to 5/9. Nothing listed under mailings. Has anyone else had changes made to their checker? Does anyone know how things played out when regular/non-waitlisted applicants were dinged?

Anyone know when we should expect to see some waitlist movement? My date changed as well.

To the admitted students:
Is there a second deposit that is due in June? For some reason I thought there was a second $500 deposit due June 1 but I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere. Did I get confused with one of the other schools I was looking at?

Anyone else get this email?:
" At this time, the number of students who have accepted their offer of admission has met our enrollment target. The Admissions Committee began reviewing files of the wait listed candidates after the deposit due date and rendered a majority of the decisions. While we were able to offer admission to a handful of wait listed students, for the majority of wait listed students the decision was not favorable.
You are receiving this e-mail because the Committee would like to keep you on a short list of students who would enroll if a spot opens later during the cycle. "
Doesn't sound too promising

Can anyone with multiple LSATs comment on whether it appeared as though UW averaged your scores? For the record, I have a 152-163-166.

No, they don't. It's not advantageous for them to do so (in respect to their medians). They will take your 166.farfromthetree wrote:Can anyone with multiple LSATs comment on whether it appeared as though UW averaged your scores? For the record, I have a 152-163-166.
edit: congrats on the giant increase from 152-166

Did anyone do Early Admission to UW? I'm pretty set on going here (if accepted) next cycle and just wanted some input from those that maybe did it this cycle.
Thank you.
