OSU Moritz c/o 2017

Post by torresash14 » Mon Oct 14, 2013 12:09 pm

Figured I would start a thread! Seems like they sent out admissions decisions pretty quickly last year. Applied 10/7 w/ fee waiver, went complete and awaiting review 10/9.

Just got an Ohio State ID number and account emailed to me, but no change on the status checker. Anyone else?

Same here, not sure if it means anything though cause I'm pretty sure they haven't begun reviewing apps yet.

Just went complete today with a fee waiver...it's not my top choice, but I'm hoping I at least get a competitive scholarship to give me something to think about.

Turns out they email everyone a username and special ID number, but you can't really access anything until you've actually been admitted. Darn.

I'm in state so I'm applying. Not really a top choice, but I may consider if I get $$$. Also got a fee waiver and will be submitting this weekend.

I'm in state as well...for me it comes down to: where do I want to live and practice? I feel if you decide Ohio/Columbus, then OSU + $$$ is an enticing offer. It places pretty well in Columbus.

Did she attend Moritz or just OSU in general?

Moritz
Not sure if I want to follow her, but at least wanted to look at. I feel like watching her go there gave me a good idea of what to expect.

Oh okay cool. I'm curious as to what she thought about it. Anything to share as far as her experience is concerned?

Application is complete and awaiting review as of 11/6/13.

OSU is likely my top choice given I'm an in-state resident(lower tuition) and would be more than happy to practice in the Columbus and Cleveland region.

Anyone have a sense of when decisions might start rolling in?

I got an email saying to expect 6-8 weeks, but I'm not certain how absolute a range that is

Where are you in staters from? Applying very shortly with a fee waiver. Hopefully they're kind to us.

Hey guys, I applied to OSU too. Moritz is my first choice, because i want to stay in Ohio and room with my sister in Columbus. I have a 164/3.86 hoping for some $$ :)

My app was complete and awaiting review as of 11/13

I talked to someone in Admissions last week and he told me I should expect an answer by Christmas.

I've been 'awaiting review' since 11/4; I sent my app 11/1. It seems they are really dragging their feet.

When I talked to the admissions guy he said they haven't started reviewing apps yet. He said they'd start "in the next couple weeks." That was last friday

I've also been awaiting review for a bit of time, 11/6.

OSU is also my top choice as I would enjoy staying in Ohio.

I just received my OSU login ID information last night. My friend applied last year around the same time(late October) and he heard around December 15th or so.

Meanwhile, rival Michigan is reviewing and accepting while sending handwritten notes to applicants.
