Damn, rejected with a 3.59/168. That's surprising that they didn't even waitlist me when I figured I'd be a guaranteed acceptance. Oh well, there was pretty much 0% chance of me attending anyway, though I was hoping to use them for negotiation purposes.

Sorry to hear man. Might your little interest been apparent in your application?

You may be right. I didn't interview there even though I was given the chance because I figured it wouldn't impact my application significantly one way or another. I'm more surprised than disappointed to be honest. I wish everybody still in contention the best of luck.

Whoa .. Rejected with those numbers? I'm very surprised.

Surprised as well. Above median LSAT with above 25th GPA almost always gets at least a WL. Not doing the interview could have hurt you. Any C&F issues? That rejection isn't solely based on your numbers.

I had a minor alcohol issue on campus about 5 years ago.

I applied with a 166 and 3.48. I was thinking that I had a 50/50. My chances may be worse than I thought.

Hey, you never know. My numbers are 166 and 3.45 and I got waitlisted through snailmail yesterday, there's still a chance so it's not so bad.

That goes for post waitlist efforts for admission offers as well.

This is a great approach for applying to law school in general. If you're actually paying money to submit an application, don't give them any reason to ding you.

Basically, stay strong my friend :)

I got in with the exact same numbers less than three days after I submitted my app, with no "Why Vandy" or any type of personalization. Just do the interview, and you should be (blackened and) golden.

Any evidence of rejection in the form of a 5lb box?

When I told my parents they don't say what the decision is but they sent me a 5lb box:

"They sent you a whitman sampler to cry about the rejection over"

Haha

Pretty fast turn around time so I thought they may have confused me with someone else.

Congrats to the recent admits! As I stated in the W&M thread, I don't want to start a debate...but how much would you guys be willing to pay for Vandy? I'm curious to hear what the applicants/students have to say as opposed to the general TLS crowd. Given that Vandy is probably the best school I'll have on the table, I keep telling myself that $100k-ish would be reasonable. Anyone else?

Is there typically an update post interview? I was complete 11/25 but had to interview on 1/8 over break as my interviewer at school basically bailed.
