Does 2nd read mean anything? The dreaded "W" word?

Getting antsy! Good luck to all who have been waiting longer!

I think just about everybody went through 2nd read at some point so I don't think it means much of anything other than that you are progressing. I was accepted and I had 2nd read if that makes you feel any better...

Maybe going back to the first read was a glitch in the system? Did you try contacting them?

My application status reads decision finalized, anyone know how long it USC take to tell you if your accepted or not?

Haven't contacted, and I haven't submitted anything else. It seems super odd!

The admissions packet said that scholarship info would follow shortly after. Hopefully that means a week or so, but who knows...

I submitted no additional documents. I sent the max LORs initially and waited (not so) patiently for the decision. Ask around about when or if you should send additional LORs/LOCI. I haven't researched that yet.

I know its been asked before but I did not see a response. Does everyone who got accepted receive an email same day as their status changes to "decision made?" My status changed but no email or phone call, don't want to wonder all weekend what it might mean.

My status checker went to Decision Finalized around 5PM EST (at least that's when I saw it) and I got an acceptance email roughly 2 hours later.

Hopefully for you guys they just sent the admissions packet and forgot to send the email! Good luck!

According to LSN they have sent rejections just recently but no scholarships?

I was in the same position as many of you were in last week. my decision was finalized friday 1/31 and had to anxiously wait all weekend. I got an acceptance email the following monday 2/3. if you're nervous because you didnt hear on friday, don't freak out. it doesnt mean anything.

I called them last week about $$, and they said they were currently in the process of determining scholarships and well let admitted students know soon.
