I'm not sure about their entire scholarship distribution process but they do offer merit scholarships in the initial acceptance letter. They say the offer is based only on merit and not need.
I was offered half-tuition contingent on "satisfactory progress after 1st year then after every semester thereafter"
170 LSAT, 3.7 GPA
Hope that helps!
Wait--you were only offered half tuition?
Also, is "satisfactory progress" defined anywhere? That sounds like a stip, but might just be one of those "in good academic standing" aka not failing.
Yeah, I thought the scholarship offer seemed low, but it may just be them feeling I won't attend. I hope that if I respond showing serious interest that they could increase it substantially. Then again, it was my first scholarship offer so I'm not sure what to expect.
Satisfactory progress was not defined. I assume they would explain further once I responded. I feel it's just good standing.

Mine was similar, and it said satisfactory meant avoiding probation and such. Nothing about GPA that I saw in it.

Does seem strange they only offered you half. Are you in-state or no?

In state. Numbers aren't close to yours. I wrote a letter to the Dean asking for more, and they were pretty quick to raise the scholarship. I didn't even negotiate with other offers. You should be fine if this is really where you want to be. (You may have a greater burden of proof there though than someone like me).

I would second this. Last cycle I applied and was accepted at Maurer, however I thought they gave me a really low scholarship (for my numbers). I wrote them a letter (actual snail-mail, but I doubt that is even remotely necessary) asking for more and was actually granted a sizable increase. Ultimately I had to withdraw due to some personal issues which pushed me into this cycle, but I think its definitely worth asking for more if Maurer is a serious consideration.

I got that status 10 days ago and I'm still waiting on a letter...might have to call them tomorrow if it's not in today's mail.

I got asked to interview in February, but my status checker went blank today... It does not say decision made or anything, so I'm not sure what it means.

Around 500 miles. I didn't expect it would take too long since letters from my parents 350 miles away only takes 2 days to reach me. I'd assume they wait a couple/few days to mail it.

Does it say anything on the top of the screen? My status checker is blank too, but at the top it mentions the committee has made a decision and it would be mailed.

No it doesn't say decision made, it just says the same line about committee review etc... Except it doesn't have the six week decision rendered line anymore. Hope you guys get good news shortly though!!

No mention of "decision made" here. Hmm... Here's what's all mentioned in the "Status" box:
Term: Fall
Year: 2014
Program Time: Full Time
Degree: JD
I wonder if the difference in our statuses has anything to do with the decision to accept/waitlist/deny?

I have the same info in my "status" box, wasn't this way on Saturday, though. No mention of a decision having been made on the page.

Letter took a really long time to receive (I think 8 days, dont exactly remember, but more than a week), and I only live a 90 minute drive from Bloomington.
Posted to ease some anxiety. They just take awhile
