Just reached out to admissions trying to get something and received the following:

"Thanks for the email. We haven’t seen too much movement within the entering class, but the summer isn’t over yet and we will continue to monitor its activity until the first week of class. If anything changes with your application decision we will make sure to contact you the instant it changes."

It does sound like the chances are slim at this point for us waitlisters...

Anyone have any idea when we'll find out class assignments and what section we're in?

Seems like it's usually mid-July for sections, though the block schedule is already up. http://www.law.smu.edu/Registrar/Course ... edule.aspx

As for first assignments, those were posted/emailed during the last week before class began, IIRC.

Looks like these are the prof assignments:

Code: Select all

Class Sec 1 Sec 2 Sec 3
Torts DiPianto Ryan Butler
K Taylor Rogers Anderson
Crim Palacios Bridge
Prop Gaba Robinson
CivPro Thornburg Dorsaneo Martinez

Anyone know what the median for the FT class entering last year was. The site/lst says 162 but I'm not sure if this is FT and PT combined or just FT.

It's almost certainly combined, since PT is usually a few points lower than FT.

When I started in 2012 I think the numbers were 164/160 FT/PT.

Hey y'all. Recent SMU grad (c/o 2014) here. I'm happy to answer any questions y'all may have about law school in general or SMU or the Dallas area, but I have a bit of a wanted ad to post.

I'll be working at a law firm in Plano starting in the next few weeks, and I'm needing to hire a dog walker to come let my sweet (hyper) dog out around midday three times a week (he goes to daycare the other two days). I live RIGHT across the street from campus and it would be easy money for a 1L especially, since it will be right around the time you'll be getting out of class. I was thinking that I would pay $50 a week for three 15 minute walks? So, I thought I'd offer TLS peeps first dibs. Shoot me a PM if you're interested at all! Thanks!!!
