I seriously wonder what's taking them so long to review my application... I submitted in early January, and I've been accepted to every other Texas school I applied to.

I havn't heard back from SMU yet but I just got a full ride to Baylor. Will that be something that SMU will take into consideration if I need to negotiate?

I doubt it, but they'd be more likely to than UT.

From what I've seen on this thread and many SMU threads from the past... SMU doesn't seem to negotiate.

In the eyes of SMU's admissions process, applicants are terrorists, and you never negotiate with terrorists.

If there is even the smallest stipulation on your Baylor scholarship, don't go to Baylor over SMU.

Absolutely agree. The only thing worse than not doing well on an exam is worrying that they will yank your scholarship because of it.

I'd disagree, there is something worse than that. The reality that after the scholarship gets yanked, you'll be paying sticker to go to Baylor and live in Waco. I'm not saying SMU is all unicorns and rainbows but I have never met a Baylor Law grad who said they liked their law school experience or the people they went to school with.

I meant in general. No one would be so foolish as to go to Baylor, right?

The one positive to Baylol was that it allowed a group of petty, too-intense, gunners to self-select away from me, my law school, and my day-to-day. More Crespi for me and you.

Unfortunately, neither. I wanted to go to the April one, but unfortunately I have classes and presentations going on during both of them - I just can't get away. So, I'm substituting it with just a regular tour this Monday. Hopefully it will suffice.
On a totally different note...
I'm not exactly "happy" with my school right now - I feel slightly embarrassed to admit there is a Law School Career Fair going on today and the law schools that are here consist of:
- Cooley
- Stetson
- Florida Coastal
- Nova
- A&M
- St. Thomas

In fact, only go to Baylor if:

Same here, hoping for something soon... Good or Bad, either way it would make planning the next few years easier.

I'm gonna guess nothing happens, only because last time our date changed everything was quiet.

I hate to break it to you guys, but our admitted fb group is really boring. The WUSTL one is so much more active!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
