April most likely.
Side note for those thinking about going to the April ASD, we should try and organize a meet up in Uptown the night before or the night of.
Most definitely down. I think our thing ends at like 2pm on that Friday. I'm down for the drinking to begin right after haha
How long are u guys staying in Dallas for? I'm down, even though I'm not much of a drinker lol! Will I be judged if I order a water...on the rocks?
I guess I'll do April then. We should do Uptown though that's always a selling point on Dallas. I'm visiting the law school Monday. Does anyone know anything about the new law building being built?

Granted, I've been away from campus for 10 months, but I've not heard anything. Is there a new law building going in?
You're not talking about the one for Singapore Management University's school of law are you?

Hey Everyone!
Does anyone happen to know the time of when the admitted students day in April will begin? I was looking on the Admitted Students page but couldn't find anything. I was trying to figure out if I could perhaps fly in that morning instead of the night before!
Thanks for your help!

Wow yea that's the one... I was just googling picture of the law school and that image popped up... now the names of the buildings make more sense.

Just got the call that I've been accepted to the PT program. That was my first choice because I want to keep my job so I am very excited.

Has anyone received Financial Aid info or the SMU login ID stuff to even access it? I called earlier today and the woman I talked to didn't seem to know much about it at all. She put me on hold and asked someone and came back to tell me that it should be going out by the end of next week. Umm... the end of March is next week and April 1 is the first seat deposit deadline. This struck me as very bizarre.

Whatever you think a reasonable date for a financial aid deadline is, add a month to it. SMU's graduate financial aid is atrociously slow and horrible to deal with.

I called yesterday regarding the same. They just said nothing has gone out and it would be "a week or so". Not sure how accurate that is though.

Financial aid should go out by the end of this month. The process is slow, but I would not let it deter you from making a seat deposit, particularly if you've been given a generous scholarship. Losing a good scholarship offer is far worse than losing a measly $250!
The student ID is sent out via U.S. mail. However, if you need to access it ahead of time, you can email for it. But right now, it is rather early in the game to have it since the financial aid isn't up yet.

So for people who have received their scholarship info in the mail, how soon after the call did you receive that? Did it seem to be mailed the same day or was there a delay?

Absolutely planning to make the seat deposit regardless. But I know that there has to be some people whom the $250 (plus seat deposits elsewhere) would be an issue.
And +1 to Kobe .

Good grief, you'd think you should be able to walk over and pick it up. Best of luck.

Yeah I live in the area too, so I'm hoping today since it was supposed to go out on Monday.

Mine came today! I ran home at lunch and picked it up. Hope yours is there too!!
Very excited about SMU overall. Not sure that they will be my lowest loan option even with keeping my job and paying living expenses out of pocket but I do like my job and I like Dallas so this might be a difficult decision.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
