I submitted in December but they waited for my December score. So I have only been "complete" since Friday.fnma2jd wrote:I don't know how you guys stay sane during the waiting!Austinbound wrote:katkatkat12 wrote:checking in...my application has been stuck on "complete" since 11/14 with no movement...I'm getting anxious!

I only submitted mine like 2 days ago and sometimes when I see an email I'll get excited even though deep down I know I have a long wait ahead of me.
I'm struggling! I live in Dallas, so I feel tempted more and more each day to politely go over to SMU and see what's upAustinbound wrote:I submitted in December but they waited for my December score. lol me too, I work on mockingbird like a few miles from there. I'm applying to the PT program so I went to one of there PT information sessions a while back to try to get some facetime but didn't get anything more than a handshake because they were busy.katkatkat12 wrote:

I've been looking at last years waiting thread to see the approximate times when they send everything out. I know it'll vary but at least it gives me something to do.Austinbound wrote:Haha noooo. But in all seriousness, I wonder when the next batch will go out for the people that submitted in December...

Possibly expand upon diversity related stuff you mention in PS? For what it's worth, I did not write the essay, and I still received a scholarship.Cthon wrote:Hey fellow SMU applicants,
I'm struggling with how to approach the optional admissions essay. My Personal Statement kind of functions as a diversity statement, commenting on my experiences and the perspective it gives me.
The Optional Admissions essay, which it says is necessary for a scholarship based on "accomplishments, experience, background" is basically asking the same thing, which has been given in my Personal Statement.
Should I just expand on my background and experiences? Hoping for some advice. (Stats: AA male URM, 161, 3.27)

I kind of felt the same. For my optional essay, I took a single piece of my personal statement and wrote about that, correlating it specifically with how it would make me a better lawyer.Cthon wrote:Hey fellow SMU applicants,
