Took Georgetown about three weeks between files being completed and making a decision. Though Dean Cornblatt mentioned they were waiting for the interview before actually reading the file, so the actual review process was probably about a week. I live in CT btw.

Is it three updates including the date your file was complete or three updates after completion?

I had my interview a week ago and received my third update yesterday. I'm wondering if this is it, or if I should be expecting one more update.

were you a part of the group interview last week or did you do an alum interview?

In -- letter dated 10/28, arrived yesterday. Wrote two optional essays. No interview. Did anyone else have a handwritten note at the end of the letter?

Everyone who has been admitted thus far has had one.

Just got my third date change (complete date in Sept, another date change at the end of Sept, and then today). Had a group interview last Thursday. Fingers crossed!

Just got a status change as well. This makes it six.

My decision was made on my 6th update date (essentially three updates pre-interview and three updates post-interview). Good luck!
Yea, two of my updates coincided with interview requests, so I was hoping the last one was the lucky third. I had also just gotten over the fact that I don't need to frantically check my mailbox anymore and am now in for the long haul. Welp.

Just got my second update, and an almost immediate group interview request. I'm not surprised, since I live in DC and work about 10 minutes away from the Georgetown campus.

Congrats to all who are admitted!

Any one who applied ED has been admitted now?
Also, for all you guys who received the admission letter, what is on your status checker now? "Application completed" or "decision rendered" or sth else?

Yes - admitted in the first wave. No interview.

Mine still reads "Application Completed", as it has for most of October.

Yes, I'm in New York and received an acceptance without interview.

Mine says "Application Completed." The date is the date on the acceptance letter.

Submitted! First T14 to be submitted. Did fill out the "hold request" section though, waiting on two LoR's. Question- is there a chance they will admit me early even though I did the "hold request," based on my numbers and the one LoR already in, or do they literally not look at anything until everything is in?

I also had a hold request. Seems like they didn't look at anything of mine before that, because I was admitted just about three weeks to the day after my application actually went complete.

Also worth nothing though: if you change your mind about wanting them to hold your application you can always just email them.

Up to 3 status updates as of yesterday (post group interview) so I'm hoping to hear any day now.

Code: Select all

Yes, I'm in New York and received an acceptance without interview
FYI New York is not New England.

Haha I agree - but I can't imagine that mail times differ from Georgetown any more than a day. I still thought it was useful to add.

Checking in. Submitted 10/17. Received 10/18. Complete (1) 10/21. Complete (2) 10/23. Complete (3) 11/1. Complete (4) 11/4.

No interview request yet. Did not write optional essay. >75% LSAT, >75% GPA. Getting somewhat anxious.

Has anyone had a status change/heard anything since the group interview on October 24th? I still haven't.
