5min late to physical interview on campus earlier in the week. while there I thought I did just as well as anyone else. I'm probably what they consider yield protect material, since I have HYS #s. Send them an email apologizing for lateness, or don't bother?

Lol so far you're on a roll. First post about feigning interest in Duke to get PT. Second post about being YP material.

Regarding the lateness, if you think you're going to get into HYS and want to go there, then you probably shouldn't bother. If you want to be smart about it, you could send an email explaining the lateness (not excusing it) but disguise the email as a thank you.

Something along the lines of "Thanks for the interview. It was great, and I had fun. I apologize for missing the first few minutes."

...and do I have to come up with a creative reason to apply to Duke, or does the standard XYZ clinic + XYZ other feature suffice?

anyway, i really don't care. just make sure you come across as genuinely interested in duke and gtown and i'm sure you'll do fine
