One thing I'll throw out - if you guys think you may qualify for need-based aid, have all of your materials together to apply as early as possible. I think it shows some level of seriousness about attending, plus you're first in line for it if you get in. While GU isn't known for dishing out big schollies, I think they surprised a decent # of people last year with generous combos of merit/need-based aid.
Is Dec LSAT too late to apply for GULC?
Will I have a lot less chance of entering?

thanks
No. I got in with a large merit aid scholarship last cycle with only a February LSAT.
But you've written above "app complete" which seems to imply that you have just completed your application for this cycle?
I would like to believe you but that may be a wishful thinking on my part?

Yes. I applied extremely late, and decided to do a fresh cycle early in the season and with a new LSAT score.

I'm sorry I keep asking but do you're saying that you made it to GULC and some lower T14 schools even as you applied late in the cycle?
And you are reapplying to GULC and other schools for $$ or something?

Yes, I made in at GULC and NW late in the cycle, and several other T-25 schools.

I am reapplying because I didn't get to apply at my top choices last cycle (they weren't accepting apps), because I got waitlisted at schools I think I stand a shot at due to lateness, and because I am hoping for more money. Bunch of reasons.

Just curious, has anyone seen anything except "Application Completed" yet on their online status?

Got an invite to a group interview on Monday! (NYC)

Any last tips for it?

Also, From what the 1L said above, when can we send in financial info? I checked FAFSA and it looks like you can't even fill it out till Jan.

Has everyone been keeping track of their changing 'Complete' dates?

I think I just got my third 'Complete' date change today. I suppose I should be receiving a decision any day now, right? :|

I just checked and my status date was updated to today as well--first time that date has changed since I initially went complete. Had my group interview about a week ago...anyone know if Georgetown decisions come via email or snail mail?

I know admits come through snail mail. If I remember correctly, your 'Current Status Date' would change three times while being 'Complete,' and your third date change is when your decision had been sent out.

I'm planning on participating in the group interview in nyc on Monday, and was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how formal my attire for this interview should be? Thanks!

IIRC, they send out acceptance letters prior to a follow-up e-mail which comes shortly after. Received my e-mail last year on Oct. 31. As for December LSAT, I don't think that should be a problem with a declining applicant pool.

Is applying by Nov. 15 (after Oct. scores) still early? Or should we be Oct. 31 on the ball. I sense it doesn't make much of a difference, and you hear back within a month anyway.

I haven't been keeping track but mine changed yesterday as well...interviewed last week. Probably the first date change for me.

Yeah you'll be fine applying mid Nov, and I definitely wouldn't rush if you're not completely comfortable with your essays.

FWIW, I applied to LS and GU twice, with same stats (splitter) and substantially different results.

Y1: applied in Feb -- WL
Y2: app. in late Sept; heavily-revised essays; in with $$$

I don't think a Feb. app. will kill someone's chance, but if applying in Feb. with a June or Oct. LSAT score, it may not show a hoped-for level of seriousness. Could be wrong, but obv. you want your stuff in asap, with the caveat that anything you submit in writing shouldn't be sloppy. I tried to give my PS a more mature tone, which I think it needed, and was able to update the resume with a couple of items from the interim.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
