And I understand being patient is something that is needed as a lawyer, and that GULC officially says 8-12 weeks. But having said that, I think as an applicant it's a bit of a turn-off to be told one thing ("decisions will be coming very soon") and then wait over two months after that.

I know the email said we won't here anything until February, but has anyone who was "held/postponed" heard anything back yet?

I had my interview mid-October and was also told "very soon/in a few weeks." I didn't hear back until mid-December at which point I was waitlisted. I did have a date change on Wednesday. Who knows what that means...wtrc wrote:Same with me -- exactly.pompoms wrote:I had my group interview mid-November, at which he said our decisions would be out in two weeks. Hopefully all this movement this week signals some sort of pending decision.
I only had one update since going complete a zillion years ago (October) and that was this week. Though it could be a dreaded WL or REJECT
Hope we hear soon!

In more relevant news, it has been over a month since I was told that an alumnus/a would get in touch with me for my interview, and I still haven't heard anything.

Application held email today. This sucks, after my interview I actually had high hopes that I would get in... Sad day.

Somehow my Georgetown status checker lists my second email as my old high school email address that I've tied my .edu address to via Gmail, while no other app does (just has my .edu listed twice)... and it's a cringe worthy email address.

I can use some love — especially since Michigan has SNUBBED me (still complete) and my Georgetown interviewer is ignoring me. Maybe I should just call it a day and send in the NYU deposit…scoobers wrote:omg it's nep nep i love youneprep wrote:Tsk tsk…I'm away for like a week and Scoobers is losing it. Finally had my alumni interview today! It was super casual and was more of an hour-long pitch for GULC than an interview. Very fun experience
Here's to hoping for a quick decision soon!
Congrats to those who've gotten in recently!

Checking in, though I submitted mid-November.
For those of you who were held, what did the status checker look like before you received your held e-mail? e.g., was your status date the same date your held email was sent out? It seems to be the trend that if you are accepted, your current status date is reflected on the letter postmark, but I'm curious about those receiving other statuses. I've had a handful of updates, two post-interview (which was late December), but won't have access to my mailing address mailbox for several days.
Fingers crossed! I'm so tired of over-analyzing a status checker that only gives us a date to work with...

Yeah, I'm curious about this, too. I've had 2 status updates since my interview, but the last one was on 12/20. Haven't heard anything since.awoodard wrote:Checking in, though I submitted mid-November.

I was held on 1/9, and my previous status was: application complete 12/5. No changes until the e-mail. But I couldn't make the interview (was out of the country). I think it might have hurt my chances...awoodard wrote:Checking in, though I submitted mid-November.

I have the exact same date showing on my status checker. Makes me a feel [a little] better knowing your numbers got you into my #1 (Mich).samoby wrote: Yeah, I'm curious about this, too. I've had 2 status updates since my interview, but the last one was on 12/20. Haven't heard anything since.
