Checking in, though I submitted mid-November.

For those of you who were held, what did the status checker look like before you received your held e-mail? e.g., was your status date the same date your held email was sent out? It seems to be the trend that if you are accepted, your current status date is reflected on the letter postmark, but I'm curious about those receiving other statuses. I've had a handful of updates, two post-interview (which was late December), but won't have access to my mailing address mailbox for several days.

Fingers crossed! I'm so tired of over-analyzing a status checker that only gives us a date to work with...

That might be good! I was accepted after 4 dates (had interview request), and I know someone else was accepted after 4 completes with no interview request.

I'm pretty sure that Georgetown is just doing random status date updates this year to screw with TLS.

to answer an earlier question, my last status is 11/22 and I received the held email on 11/25.

Held 12/3 and nothing yet. Though the email says we'll hear end of February.

I was held 10/15 and haven't heard a peep. The email says we'll hear before the end of Feb but according to past threads most people who were held heard back at the very end of Feb. Some didn't hear anything till the beginning of March.

Looking at last year's thread, the held people started getting dinged and wait-listed in the first two weeks of Feb (there were a few accepted, but not many). I would say by Feb 15th we should know.

To those who've already received the acceptance mail: when you requested a username and pw, was it just a bunch of letters and numbers? It seems strange that it's just randomly generated. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm finally able to request log in info for ASW.

Hmmm. Well, just tried with a throwaway email and name, said the username/password couldn't be generated. That's a good sign, yes?

I guess the next step is for an admit who has successfully logged in in the past to try, and see if the site is down or something?

Interestingly, I just re-requested my username and password and got the same, seemingly random, numbers/letters combo. Yet another good sign...


ETA: Still can't log in, though...
