Don't see why you couldn't do both.

No problem and good luck! I'm interested in both too, primarily GLS, but have yet to get a decision from GULC :/Black_Swan wrote:Thanks!chriskel wrote:My understanding from an info session Q&A is that, yes, you can apply to both. Honestly at this point I'd rather be flat-out rejected than be placed on some waitlist. The wait is agonizing...gobears!! wrote:I have had zero movement as well on this hold train. How were the results? Mostly rejections/waitlists?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I didn't realize that people had been held at this point. I don't remember seeing a status change on my application (submitted mid October) so I feel like I've been put on an unofficial hold pile... or maybe just forgotten about.
edit: I had an update two days ago. Sorry about that.

I was admitted back in October and I'm working on my GLS app now. If you ended up deciding to apply to GLS, who are you getting to do your foreign language certification?Black_Swan wrote:Anyone gunning for the GLS or PILS program? Can one apply to both?

This may be a silly question, but I haven't heard anything definitive one way or another--do all applicants who will be accepted get interviewed (or at least an interview request?)? If not, what kind of applicants do get interviewed?

I know that some have gotten accepted with no request. Not sure their numbers.WestWingWatcher wrote:This may be a silly question, but I haven't heard anything definitive one way or another--do all applicants who will be accepted get interviewed (or at least an interview request?)? Can't speak for the entire applicant pool but I was admitted at the end of October (I applied early to mid-Oct) without ever being invited to interview. I was above both 75ths and a K-JD.WestWingWatcher wrote:This may be a silly question, but I haven't heard anything definitive one way or another--do all applicants who will be accepted get interviewed (or at least an interview request?)? TBF, I was also in a part of the country that likely didn't have a lot of GULC alumni to interview me.
ETA: I also didn't do any supplemental essays if that makes a difference.

I was accepted with no interview, and was a splitter... But am also military so that may have had something to do with it.WestWingWatcher wrote:This may be a silly question, but I haven't heard anything definitive one way or another--do all applicants who will be accepted get interviewed (or at least an interview request?)? I was admitted without an interview, below median LSAT and >75% GPA.

In more relevant news, it has been over a month since I was told that an alumnus/a would get in touch with me for my interview, and I still haven't heard anything.

It was over a month for me as well. Annoying, but nothing to worry about!neprep wrote:Tsk tsk…I'm away for like a week and Scoobers is losing it. Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I emailed admissions about this and they said you can't access the admitted students website until 4 days after you've been accepted. they seemed to indicate that if you were able to receive a password (even though it didn't work yet) that you were in. I'd try again today!lakers180 wrote:had last date change yesterday, no decision yet
tried the admitted student site, and I was able to get emailed a username and password, but when i tried to use the username and password to log in it did not work. anyone with a similar experience?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Anyone have an interview/group interview mid-December and still waiting on a decision? Dean Cornblatt said at mine that we'd get decisions mid-January, but I've definitely seen people on LSN with similar timelines who've received acceptances. I'm probably just paranoid, but I figured I'd see if anyone else is in the same boat. I did just get a status date change yesterday, so I'm hoping it's a good sign.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
