how long between initial acceptance and scholarship letter? I was thinking about two weeks based on this thread and last year's thread, but it's closing in on three or four since I got the acceptance phone call. Is it just the holidays?

anyone accepted on or around 12/15 hear on scholarships yet? thanks!

They told me over the phone, and when I went and visited that it would be mid to late January.

Accepted 12/17, FWIW

If this is a serious question: I wouldn't do that.

It is funny that you ask if it is "ok" rather than "a good idea" or similar. It makes it sound like it's something you really want to do on a personal level. Regardless, you should not do it, and hopefully you know why not.

I wouldn't do this, especially since it is "hook 'em horns" not hook'up horns, so it would definitely look out of place.

Lulz, I missed that.

Although I'm pretty sure that "Hook'up horns" has been the tag line for more than a few bar reviews this semester.

Well that was a typo.

I just got an e-mail asking for a "Why Texas". Is talking about how much I want to practice in Texas and how invested I am in Texas sufficient? Or should I focus on the reasons I specifically want to go to the Univ. of Texas?

Seems like you could connect the two, which is what you should do.

I submitted in mid-October. I'm a URM though which seems to throw off time lines

How long did it take you to get a status checker email?

I got my status checker email about 3 days after I applied, acceptance call 2.5 weeks in.

I'm a LGBT URM and UT UG super splitter.
