Do they send merit waivers via CRS? I tried to solicit and they said they don't give non-financial need waivers.

I want to apply, but not for $100

I have Texas resident status, and just got a non-financial need waiver. Not sure if they're going out more broadly.

Checking in as well! Got the fee waiver email a few minutes ago. Also just a reminder, UT switched their Early Decision program to binding this year.

How good were they with waivers in the past?

Oh man, I was going for Northwestern's ED too. UT trumps NW since I live in Austin and I'm a resident.

Just FYI, undergraduate writing center is holding a personal statement session on campus this Friday @ 3PM. It might be a good place to get some extra feedback on your statements.

NU's ED comes with a $150k scholarship. Does UT's?

Not any that I know of. But they do offer offer fairly generous schollys. a friend with a 167 with 3.7 got a full ride last year. I got a waiver about 2 to 3 weeks ago. Suffice to say I'll probably throw my app in after October test.

Checking in! First choice! I'm not doing ED though, money is too big of an issue.

A URM with a 167/3.7? They were decently generous last cycle but not WUSTL generous

I'm a 1L at UT if you guys have any questions about the school or the application process

App submitted. UT was my first rejection last cycle, but after I retook the LSAT in June they called me up and accepted me. It was super short notice and I had already decided to stay at my job, but fingers crossed that they'll let me in this cycle!
