LOCI....retake... options are limited on the WL.
Waitlist only be admitted after they find out someone fused to enter the class and maybe we have to wait until March or even May. Sigh......

Do you know the date they began to admit some waitlists last year? Thank you.

A TLSer got the call 2 days before orientation after they had already moved to Dallas to attend SMU.

Not sure when they started, I'm guessing sometime after the first deposit is due?

Retaking in June might be your best ticket in depending on your numbers.

?

Retake would definitely improve your chances of acceptance, assuming your numbers are what is holding you back.

First off, what's wrong with getting money?

Second, a retake with a higher score will get you off of the WL before anyone with lower numbers. It seems like common sense to me.

Not really but as someone said above, they accept WL candidates literally right before school starts - depends on their yield. I appleid the year before last and was WL in Feb; last year I was accepted in Feb

sorry i don;t have a concrete answer - if I go to school tomorrow, i'll stop by admissions office and ask them

I cant take February LSAT , JUN is too late may be. If retake is the only way, I'm done. Money is the second in consideration I think

Also...don't be in a rush to go to law school. Take your time w/ the LSAT - maximize your opportunities either by going to the highest ranked school w/ strong placement numbers or getting a fat scholly to UT or both. I know smart people who've gotten f***** by the curve.

It's possible they turn to the waitlist sooner than April, but it will be a trickle at any rate. As people get accepted to T14s, they'll let Texas know they're not coming. In addition, come March 1, they'll know exactly how many applications they will be getting and will have an idea of what percentage of those they'll be accepting and matriculating, so the few folks on the WL for class management might start to come off.

Other interesting (but irrelevant*) information from the recent past: In summer 2012, in need of more high uGPAs and apparently having exhausted all of the high uGPAs remaining on their waitlist, they proceeded to extend a couple of acceptances to people previously dinged. This occurred in late July... around the 28th or so.

(* irrelevant because the odds of them making the same miscalculation a second time in such a short span is extremely low.)

Yeah, but driving around here you'd think people will spin out if they do more than 20mph.

Well, mostly ice now. I'm about to call, will report about them being open or not. It was iced over pretty bad last night. Well, bad for Austin.

Yep. They're closed.
