to be honest i am hesitant to even try. UF didn't offer me any so I'm sure FSU will take the same route.

Yeah I figured the worst they can say is no. I've had a tough time negotiating scholly $$$ this cycle unfortunately :/nmm10e wrote:Young Marino wrote:For those who got accepted late in the cycle, any luck negotiating scholly $$$$?

I was offered scholly $ at two other schools, but because they were private the cost was still higher than both UF and FSU hahaYoung Marino wrote:Yeah I figured the worst they can say is no. Withdrawn today with pretty decent scholarship going back into the pot. I hope it goes to a TLSer. It is a fantastic school and an awesome opportunity for somebody. Toughest school for me to withdraw from yet.

I'm late to the party, but I was waitlisted too
I'm going to hold out, though.
I'm from Florida and already withdrew at some other Florida schools where I was accepted (Stetson, etc). My only other choice at this point is going to be Dallas (SMU) - Which is a great school, but I REALLY would rather stay near home.. ugh. I noticed it said those on the waitlist could hear back anytime between June 6th and late August. I hope it's sooner rather than later...

I withdrew today (post above yours) and I did so because they emailed me asking if I was attending. I think this is a pretty strong indication that there could/should be some waitlist movement in the next few days. I doubt I was the only one they asked.Mandakay16 wrote:I'm late to the party, but I was waitlisted too

Make sure to send a letter/e-mail saying you're still interested. I'm not sure how FSU is but I know some other schools only pull people off the waitlist that sent a LOCI.Mandakay16 wrote:I'm late to the party, but I was waitlisted too

That was done the day I was notified... You have until tomorrow to even fill the form out, though. I wish they would take preference in people that filled it out right away. A girl can dream...Zoolaf wrote:Make sure to send a letter/e-mail saying you're still interested. Re: FSU C/O 2017 (2013-2014 APPLICANTS)
I did a LOCI after I was put on hold in January and I finally got in. I believe my letter helped because although I have a good GPA my LSAT was lacking for their standards (155). On my acceptance letter they left a little written message in the corner that hinted they read my LOCI, so I believe it really helped make a decision. Good luck- our seat deposit is due by June 13th so I'm sure around that time there will be a lot of movement !Mandakay16 wrote:That was done the day I was notified... Yeah, I'm in the same boat. GPA is awesome, but LSAT left a lot to be desired. Notification can start tomorrow so.. fingers crossed. Geez, so much anxiety. My type A personality can't take itnmm10e wrote:I did a LOCI after I was put on hold in January and I finally got in. Thanks! I got a call at around 2 and received an admissions email an hour ago. Admissions said they also mailed it to me and I need to decide by Wednesday. Now I have to decide between fsu and uf!
Good luck!

Re: FSU C/O 2017 (2013-2014 APPLICANTS)
If you don't get into FSU, you still have a chance to transfer in. FSU takes in a lot of transfers. If you are in the top 33% you should definitely apply to transfer after Spring 1L AND after Fall 2L if you didn't get in the first time.
This may be the most important advice you get in law school because noone else will tell you this because (1) your school wont mention it and (2) it's not something student really talk about. Just keep this in mind.

This is very true. FSU takes a lot more transfers than other schools.hous wrote:If you don't get into FSU, you still have a chance to transfer in. FSU takes in a lot of transfers. The school I'd be going to instead is higher ranked and three states away - once I'm settled for a year this probably won't be an option, but thanks for the idea.Zoolaf wrote:This is very true.
