My hope was realized! Wake it is for me unless Vandy or WUSTL is willing to make it cheap.AT9 wrote:Nothin' here. I'm hoping their typical generosity + dropping number of applicants = WUSTL-like $ this cycle. It would be good for negotiating regardless, but I would seriously consider Wake if they're willing to beat or match some of my offers. They've already made it into my 6/7 and good $ could move them into top 3ohioguy99 wrote:Anyone hear any scholarship info yet?
My offer is just shy of a full-tuition scholly. I'd leave Wake with $10k total in tuition and fees. WOW!

Another thing I've got to bring up that I feel hasn't been talked about ... Is how ridiculously amazing the administrative staff is at the school. Talk about puttin potential students at ease with this whole process. Seriously 11/10

I'm sure you didn't mean it in jest, but I'm not really lol-ing over here. Numbers are on my profile, offered 15/year. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's hard to weigh staying in-state and not going to a not-as-good school but saving 9/year comparatively. WFU was definitely my number one choice, so now I'll just have to see what I can do as far as speaking with financial aid. Upwards and onwards.LyricsToLitigation wrote:Lol what was your offer and what are your numbers?ayl wrote:Am I the only one who was semi heartbroken about the scholarship offer? Yikes. Sorry to hear you didn't get what you had hoped for. From the looks of it, they're shelling out big $ to people with scores in the mid 160's. I hate to bring this up because I'm tired of hearing the advice myself, but any chance you could retake in June and try to leverage some more $ from them? Your GPA is awesome and with a few more points you could probably double your offer.ayl wrote:I'm sure you didn't mean it in jest, but I'm not really lol-ing over here. Yeah, I'm considering it for sure, but as I just accidentally ranted to LTL in a PM, it's difficult for me to justify taking again after having taken the GRE 3x and barely had my score move. I don't do standardized exams well (never have really), but it's sincerely not out of the question to retake since a. I really do like WFU, and b. I also like the idea of not having so much debt . I'll have a chat with people in financial aid as well. I'm not looking for a huge change, just something to make it a bit more comparable to the offer I've gotten at S. Carolina (albeit not entirely a comparable school).AT9 wrote:Sorry to hear you didn't get what you had hoped for. Also, sub-reply, thanks to y'all for being really kind with your responses. People on here can be a bit mean about others' scores.

I was offered $25k per year and only have a slightly higher LSAT score...you should definitely think about retaking and saving yourself $30,000.ayl wrote:Yeah, I'm considering it for sure, but as I just accidentally ranted to LTL in a PM, it's difficult for me to justify taking again after having taken the GRE 3x and barely had my score move. Man, I'm kicking myself and wishing I'd submitted my application earlier, maybe then I wouldn't be in this "no news is good news" limbo. Submitted my application late November and went under review 12/11, Wake is the only school (I only applied to four) that I haven't gotten a decision from, and the only one that I wasn't sure I'd be accepted to upon applying.

What is the difference between "file under review" and "Under committee review"? My status changed to the latter today and the blurb at the top of my status checker "This part of the process could take 6-8 weeks..." is now gone. Wake is a top choice for me so any changes are freaking me outttt hahah

Wouldn't put too much stress into that, I applied early (october) and still havent received a decision yet..been under review since november

Just checked, same here. Only applied 2 weeks ago with average to below median stats so if a decision comes soon I'd be a little bit surprised...LShopeful628 wrote:farhanzarou wrote:I have no idea what it means, but the same thing happened to me just nowabrahm wrote:What is the difference between "file under review" and "Under committee review"?
