Okay will do. I'm working on an analysis tab in the Gtown one. Once that's finished I will copy the spreadsheet over for a Chicago version to avoid having to create that tab twice.

Last cycle some did not, and it meant waitlist / deny (for those on TLS, at least; however, there might have been some stellar ED applicants not on here that got in without an interview).

Is the same true for RD applicants? No interview = waitlist/deny?

Later in the cycle people were getting in with no interview, I think, and people got in off the waitlist with no interview. I imagine that in the early-going, though, no interview is probably not great news.

I found this thread from last year very helpful -- thought I'd help others with updated info:

UChicago, Class of 2014, What some of us did this past summer:

15.3% in the V5
12% in the V5-10 range (so 27.3% total in the V10)
12.5% in the V11-20 (so 39.9% total in the V20)
11.6% in the V21-30 range (so 51.4% total in the V30)
8.3% in the V31-50 range (so 59.7% total in the V50)
13.4% in the V51-100 range (so 73.1% total in the V100)

5.1% at mid-size Chicago firms that are not Vault ranked (i.e., Schiff Hardin, Edwards Wildman, Eimer Stahl, etc.)

Another ~5% are at elite or top of the market firms that are not Vault rank. That includes boutiques like Susman Godfrey and Kellog Huber, as well as small-market leaders like Polsinelli (in AZ), Dinsmore & Shohl (Cincinnati), Faegre Baker (Minneapolis), etc. that people may likely have chosen over NYC Vault offers.

I should add that the Vault rankings don't really do UChicago justice compared to say, NYU, since the rankings are so NYC-centric – taking Mayer Brown Chicago over a NYC V5 is not uncommon since many students very much prefer Chicago.

UChicago, Class of 2013, What some of us are doing this summer:

9.4% in the V5
12.1% in the V5-10 range (so 21.4% total in the V10)
16.2% in the V11-15 range (so 33.5% total in the V15)
4.5% in the V16-20 range (so 37.9% total in the V20)
8.5% in the V21-30 range (so 46.4% total in the V30)
10.3% in the V31-50 range (so 56.7% total in the V50)
12.1% in the V51-100 range (so 68.8% total in the V100)
8.5% at firms not in Vault, but in the NLJ250 (so 77.2% total in the V100/NLJ250)

I should add that the Vault rankings don't really do UChicago justice compared to say, NYU, since the rankings are so NYC-centric; a significant portion of people from UChicago choose to go other places (Chicago, Texas, DC, California, etc.).

Yeah... the fact that I outed myself on the school's FB page when people were saying who they were on TLS didn't help my anonymity.

I'm pretty sure that everyone who is a C/O 2016 TLS user knows who we all are IRL, but I have no idea how many people outside of that small circle know. A lot of us do stuff together on a regular basis, or at least eat lunch together regularly (I am pretty antisocial when it comes to hanging out after school on weekdays; I like to go home, do homework, waste some time online, and then sleep; you'll never find me in the library, except for maybe at lunch).

If a school known for its conservatism were to try to censor its students from making data that should be readily accessible anyway more easily accessible, you know it'd end up on ATL.

As I've already expressed to Regulus, I don't get why UChicago isn't more open, anyway. The data in the above post, for example... I didn't make the anonymous post I quoted, but if you look at it, you'll see that it's really good.

1/4 students in V10 firms
Half in the V30
Nearly 2/3rds in V50 firms
and only 1/4 of the student body doesn't end up at a V100 firm.

More students end up in V10 firms than don't get the V100 at all. I bet that a large portion of those one out of four students who don't end up in the V100 didn't want biglaw at all, since it seems like about half of the 1L class wants PI or government work. I'm not sure why the school doesn't just share this themselves. Could be some sort of general policy across many schools, since I don't think anyone does share it, I guess.
