No, I don't regret it, but 'Dozo also places well in the particular offices I'm interested in working at.
I turned down a number of higher ranked schools precisely for the $$$$. For similarly ranked schools who also offered me the $$$$, I went with: a) job placement in the area I wanted to work, b) clinical/externship opportunities (as another 2L at Cardozo above mentioned...we do have a LOT of those), c) the breadth of the curriculum in the particular area I intend to pursue, and finally d) my overall impression of the student body and professors when I visited.
Had all things been equal with regard to money at the higher ranked schools, I would've focused more on the schools' placement in the specific market/sector I intended to work in. This is really something I can't stress enough about choosing a law school. I'm not BigLaw bound, so the selection criteria was different for me, but with a huge emphasis on money.
ETA: gripes with the school? Sure. Our OCS is terrible, but that doesn't seem to be unique to us. Some people seem pissed that the school closes early on Friday for Shabbat and is closed Saturday, but to me it's been NBD.
