Well everyone is entitled to their opinion of me. :)

Edit: let's drop the conversation... It's off topic now.

If you want people to actually care about whether you're getting in places or not, don't be a bitch. And don't say you don't care, because otherwise you wouldn't be posting about it.

Does everyone have to comment on her humblebrag, or can we get back on topic?

Yikes. Well, in other news, I noticed a 12/19 UR2 on my status checker this morning. I had a UR1 of 12/3 after submitting in early November. Let's hope for some more movement today!

Is there a relationship between how long it takes to go to UR2 and your admissibility? I've been on UR1 since 11/22

If people don't care my acceptance, then they don't have to reply. Simple. I will survive with or without a reply.

Moving right along, has anyone with a 12/3 UR received an update or phone call? For those held, is it posted in the status checker or sent by email?

There was at least one UR 12/3 who was admitted yesterday. And my friend who was held received an email.

So a simple "oops, didn't mean to humblebrag there, I was excited :P" would be too much to ask for?

People do care about you, they just don't want to regret their decision to do so.

Btw, so what I'm picking up from the thread is that it's all by phone call and UR2s aren't necessary?

I got all excited as a UR1 with 12/3, but I just checked and I am still at 12/3. Maybe later!

You tell them! lol

Anyways, there's no reason not to get excited by an acceptance, even if you're already in at Harvard, so I'm not sure people got offended.

I didn't mean to humblebrag, nor did I mean for people to take my original post the wrong way and I clarified what I meant in my subsequent post, but things happen and people blow things out of proportion.

According to the PMs I received, people were bothered by the fact I mentioned I had already got into Harvard in the same post and seemed to not appreciate my Penn acceptance as much. Idk that's just what two people messaged me last night.

Congratulations! I'm also UR1 12/3 and I haven't had that movement...since my stats are on the lower end for Penn I imagine this is a good sign for you (my status checker tarot prediction of the morning ;))

It's okay apple. Everyone is on edge in these waiting threads, and that is completely understandable. I can see how some might take offense to mentioning an HLS acceptance in here, but we all know that you meant nothing by it.

Let's just all try to remember that at this point much of this process is out of our hands, and all we can do is be at peace with the application we have submitted. The process will run its course. Most everyone in these boards is going to have wonderful options at awesome schools. If we all keep that in mind, the level of anxiety will be lower and we can all participate in a more civil, friendly and enjoyable environment.
