You guys. If there was a Disney movie about Lions I would've heard about it. I think you're all a little confused.

I'm obviously joking, and that gif made me cry. I was not prepared to feel today.

um. you're joking right? i mean, there's not an entire Disney movie SPECIFICALLY ABOUT LIONS OR ANYTHING.
Idk what you're talking about. Are you talking about the Jungle Book? Because that was about a bear, a tiger and a little jungle boy.

Me too, I was held. I kinda suspected it would happen, I was below 25th for GPA and below median for LSAT.
I am not too bummed, I think I did well on the December LSAT ( I was doing 170-173 on the preptest before), now I will be able to negotiation scholarships for schools I get into.

169 LSAT and 3.42 GPA, weak W/E and softs, strong LORs

Isn't 169 Penn's median

This is the case with me, too. :(

Anxiety re Penn has finally driven me to create a TLS account despite attempts to remain a lurker.

Does this show up on your status checker? Does this mean that they are also rejecting/waitlisting ED people at this point?

Also, how do we think they are choosing who to notify first? It doesn't seem to be by date applied, it doesn't seem to be by numbers... anyone who got in have a last name near the end of the alphabet, so we can rule out alphabetical order?

No it means that I was transferred to regular decision. No waitlist.

Isn't 169 Penn's median

They havent released the median yet, just the 25th:165 and 75th:171, but I highly suspect it is 170, since UVA is skewed similarly. 25th:164 Median:169 75th:170

Oh, great. I have the same status checker update as the slacker who didn't even do the optional essays!

:D

Just kidding. You're going to be fine!
plus, this year might be all about how the numbers work out, and less about who did what essays....

I predict there will be alot of waitlist activity, top LSAT scores are even rarer than last year. I saw a statistic, three years ago there were 1000 175+ scorers, last year there was 350. Granted schools are shrinking there class sizes but medians have come down a bit and splitters with high LSAT scores will be more valuable. High GPA's are a dime a dozen, literally.

Hang in there though. You'll still have a good cycle and you still have a good shot at Penn.

No, I definitely slacked. That and I applied ED to Penn at the last min. What are your stats if you don't mind me asking?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
