With an overhauled staff than last year, they might be doing some different things.Westofeden wrote:So ND is giving out offers over the phone now? I thought that wasnt a thing

Question for y'all in the know: If my status checker say "Decision Has Been Mailed" and has dates for seat deposits...Does that mean that there is a good chance that I got in? Thanks for your help guys!

I would think that's a good sign. Who really knows, but why would the dates show up if they weren't ready to accept a deposit from you?Phattypattyfrost wrote:Question for y'all in the know: If my status checker say "Decision Has Been Mailed" and has dates for seat deposits...Does that mean that there is a good chance that I got in? As of last year, seat deposit amounts were an indication of admittance. Even people waitlisted did not have seat deposit amounts (i.e. they remained zero).

Awesome, yeah I thought it was a little strange. In case you were wondering, it looks like the deadline for the first deposit is 4/15/2015 and it is a $600 deposit then at 6/1/2015 is a $400 deposit. Also, it says the decision was made today (12/9).

Have you had any date changes before? I've had one, but not sure if I should be expecting more date changes, or if the next step is a decision.cuboxing25 wrote:still at application complete but a date change to today, 12/10

Status changed this morning to Decision Made. Numbers are still at zero so I'm expecting waitlist or rejection. Not too surprised unfortunately.

Wondering if numbers only change when status says Decision Has Been Mailed, instead of at Decision Made...?

As a person who went "Decision Made" 11/26 and has heard nothing from ND since... I'm not sure if there is a "Decision Has Been Mailed" status update.megs2015 wrote:Wondering if numbers only change when status says Decision Has Been Mailed, instead of at Decision Made...?
For the record, though, I do have $600 and $400 listed in the fees section.

Congrats to those who have been accepted!
This is somewhat interesting. I submitted 10/13 and have been complete since 10/15 (per ND's email including status checker login info). The status checker shows a complete date of 11/4 and hasn't changed since then. I'm above both 75th's with unique WE/softs. I also have strong family ties to the area and good reasons for attending, which I outlined in a well-written "Why ND." I wonder why there hasn't been any movement despite my applying earlier and having solid numbers, relative to recent admits. Any clues?

Your "I'm a special snowflake" attitude displayed here was screaming off the pages to the Admissions staff?coldsteady wrote:Congrats to those who have been accepted!

Well, I did use the phrases destined for greatness and better than these people in my personal statement, if that's what you mean. Do you think it was too much?Iwanttolawschool wrote:Your "I'm a special snowflake" attitude displayed here was screaming off the pages to the Admissions staff?coldsteady wrote:Congrats to those who have been accepted!

Or Notre Dame is super, super slow this year. I submitted Oct. 1 (the first day apps were open). So far I think only 3 or 4 people have said their status is "Decision Made." I expect you'll be admitted in the coming weeks.coldsteady wrote:Well, I did use the phrases destined for greatness and better than these people in my personal statement, if that's what you mean.
