Is this South Bend you are talking about? It is actually much nicer than most "town" in the Midwest imo...magjag wrote:has anyone actually been to the town? its so..... desolate.

Agreed. Not sure what is so "desolate" about it.kyle010723 wrote:Is this South Bend you are talking about? It is actually much nicer than most "town" in the Midwest imo...magjag wrote:has anyone actually been to the town? its so..... desolate.

I think I read the metro area including South Bend, Mishawaka, and surrounding towns has a population of around 300,000. Not bad imo. Sure, it's no Minneapolis, Chicago, Indy, etc., but it's also far from being desolate.mu13ski wrote:Agreed. Does anyone know if we can submit a seat deposit to more than one school?

You can do it, but after a certain day, LSAC send out names to schools of applicants that submitted multiple deposits, at which point the school may come knock on your door. Although schools would never rescind their offer, just keep in mind that schools know this after a certain date (I think it's early July? I cannot remember).tweetybird wrote:Does anyone know if we can submit a seat deposit to more than one school?

I thought it was earlier, like early to mid-May.kyle010723 wrote:You can do it, but after a certain day, LSAC send out names to schools of applicants that submitted multiple deposits, at which point the school may come knock on your door. It is April 15 I believe. I also thought it was May 15, but a dean told me otherwise.PattyCake wrote:I thought it was earlier, like early to mid-May.kyle010723 wrote:You can do it, but after a certain day, LSAC send out names to schools of applicants that submitted multiple deposits, at which point the school may come knock on your door. It's May, just like last cycle. The 2nd deposit is the serious one. You basically have to make a decision at that point.ldlamb wrote:LSAC says May 15th

Federal clerkship rate, as expected, took a bit of a dive. I wasn't even aware of ten people in my class that had got federal clerkships, I thought maybe seven. But the number will be back up in 2014, they've had some outstanding success.

Why are only three states reported for employment location? 57% in unknown states?ManoftheHour wrote:You guys see this?

Because the NALP reports have not been released yet only ABA. ABA only displays top 3 states of employment. Of course, ND knows where the rest of their grads went but they have not released it yet. LST will update when either the information is released through NALP or ND.mu13ski wrote:Why are only three states reported for employment location? 57% in unknown states?ManoftheHour wrote:You guys see this?

Dat small 1.1% school funded man.
I'm happy this was one of my 3 deposits.

I remember at ASW that they mentioned the only school funded positions (2 last year) were those funded through the competitive Shaffer Fellowship program. Clearly these recipients could've received plenty of non-ND funded lawyer gigs if they wanted to go that route instead.ManoftheHour wrote:Dude, 71.2% FT Bar passaged required jobs.
