Has anyone here NOT signed up for an interview?
I'm not the best at interviews so wondering if I should skip it even though it is recommended

Had my interview with them yesterday. Pretty standard questions. The lady who interviewed me was very nice

Thanks for the insights from your interviews, everyone! I have my off-campus interview this morning...slightly nervous but excited at the same time! It will feel good afterward knowing my application will then essentially be "complete".

I'm well below on Medians for LSAT and GPA but I think my softs and resume may put me in some sort of waitlist contention. Interview was supposed to be 30 minutes but we hit it off and it lasted 75 minutes with the interviewer stating full recommendation. How much influence do interview results have on admissions?

Good luck! I'm guessing it matters, which is why they do it. I'm curious about your softs and resume, if you don't mind sharing. You can PM me if you want

No prob...I'll PM you with Personal Statement, Resume, and some other info just to give you an idea. Hopefully you can help me figure out my chances. Full sticker is not an issue for me either.

I passed on an interview, but I was accepted last cycle. Although I was accepted without an interview, so.. maybe I should have done one this time.

So for non-ED applicants already complete, how soon do you expect decisions to begin rolling out? I'd imagine ED applicants will begin hearing by mid-Dec, not sure about RD though?

Had my interview this morning over Skype with a 3L. It was pretty standard, he asked me some basic interview questions (why law, why Northwestern, etc.) and I asked a few of my own. Only lasted ~20 minutes, but felt like it went pretty well.

I'm not sure about you guys, but by the time my off-campus interview was over I essentially made up my mind that Northwestern is my #1 choice for law school even if I get offers from a couple other mid/upper T14 schools. I'm sure this is one of their other major reasons for encouraging interviews, besides the obvious screening component.

Status box still says app complete from October, while message at top of page says app is complete and is being reviewed by adcomms.

Mine took at least a couple weeks. Hang in there until Monday before you send an email.

I think it was a couple days under three weeks before I received an email from my interviewer. I live in a pretty large city in the Midwest, so I'm sure there's numerous alumni here who handle interviews, yet it took almost three weeks. Hang in there and good luck once your time to interview comes.

I recently finished my interview. It lasted about 80-90 minutes and was very informative. The interviewer was very friendly and had a lot of positive things to say overall. During this time I was informed that we are very ahead of the game if we are finishing up our interviews now. My interviewer informed me that she typically does 8 a cycle and that they are usually in January. So congrats on being eager everybody! Hopefully it carries into law school. I went complete for the second time post interview. I feel like today was an update because the interviewer probably submitted my info. Not sure if it changes daily at this point.

Best of luck everyone. Don't forget to smile this cycle :D

:?: Do you actually have an "under review" status, or just "Application Complete" with the message at the top about it being reviewed?

I have the "Application complete" status with the newly updated message at the top regarding it being under review. My status first showed complete a week ago after my interview then today the date changed to 12/2/2013 with the new message at the top, which collectively I assume means it's finally being reviewed as of today. Here's hoping for a decision soon!

Ok. The consensus earlier was that that message was always there with complete statuses; it's interesting that you had complete without the under review message.

FWIW, I've had that message for several weeks now, so I wouldn't expect anything too quickly if I were you.

Last year, status changes were always accompanied by emails telling you that your status has changed. Changes for NU will only occur alongside these emails (if my memory is correct).

OOOH! This just happened in the last two days : Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Please allow 6-8 weeks (from December 1) for a decision. Please be advised that your complete date may change due to internal processing.

Thanks, I may not have noticed the sneaky change in the status screen.

Good luck everyone!
