Maybe they'll do a round tomorrow as well. Agree it's weird without a tweet

Same boat here. It seems like the only decisions reported so far today have been holds. Perhaps they'll do a round of acceptance/denials tomorrow.

Dinged today :/

My concern at this point is that if I'm an applicant that would typically get held at any other point in the cycle, leaving it until this late would result in a ding because they don't want to include me in the hold pile this late in the game.

I thought about that too, but it seems to me that if you have also been waiting for a long time that perhaps you are going through multiple rounds of reviews or passed along to many people?

If true, might not be such a bad thing since I would think that means they are really having a discussion about you (i.e. they like you and are justifying your admission, or someone is pulling for you). I feel we have seen the bulk of clear dings and admits.

Did it. Loved it. Prefer it as you have a shot of interviewing with adcomm.

I am one to really appreciate having the ability to talk and relate to people face-to-face, vis-a-vis representing myself on paper where much of the nuance/effect may be lost in translation.

Wasn't difficult, per se.
IDK what background you have, but it's the standard behavioral stuff you can expect in most first round interviews.

That's great to hear! I guess, "why law" "why NU?" "introduce yourself" kind of stuff? I am flying from far away on short notice so I want to be prepared as possible

After we submit our hold responses, do we get any kind of confirmation email?

I want to submit all video responses to the hold questions. Is this a good thing to do?

If I get held, that's what I'm doing.
They already know your writing skills from your application/optional essays/LOCI if you did all that. Time for them to know YOU!

I think video shows a willingness to put yourself out there. If there are four, make sure they won't get bored. Maybe mix up the style/shot selection?

Just so you guys know, my experience was a bit different. I was held and decided to make the trip to Northwestern to interview on campus after already interviewing off-campus with an alum. I was ready for a more conversational type interview, as was previously mentioned, but instead got a more high-intensity interview. The questions were not difficult, but they were asked in rapid succession, with the interviewer vigorously taking notes. I'm pretty sure that it was some kind of a test to see how I handled myself under stress/high-pressure situations. I thought I answered all of the questions well and kept my composure, but just an FYI for all you future interviewees.

You get the above message once you answer the initial questionnaire that you still want to be considered for admission. I think the first poster is asking about a response to submitting the actual essays.

That's what I was kind of thinking. This late in the cycle they are definitely going use more scrutiny.

Maybe I should just write myself an email from another account and pretend to be the admissions committee and reject myself.
At least then I might feel some closure.

<---Actually going insane.

Maybe you should have your burst of insanity optimistically instead. Write yourself an acceptance letter, and just go along with it until/unless you hear otherwise.

Whoever is suggesting that NU's on-campus interviews are "conversational" is a gunner trying to burn the rest of you. It's a serious interview with an admissions officer that will cover 20+ questions and topics.

I'm starting to give up hope. Even with the amounts they typically give URMs, it still probably won't be better than the miracle scholarship I got from Texas. Not sure if I even want to pay boatloads of cash just to have a marginal advantage in my target market.
