Checking in. Applied late in the cycle (complete last week) but I did interview on campus in October so maybe somehow that will help. Anyway, planning to ride out what I expect will be a long review process in the hopes of receiving that NU moleskine (I've been an NU fangirl since high school).

Anyone else get really excited when they saw the new Johann tweet, and then get really frustrated upon seeing that it was about Domino's? Classic Trolhann.

Was complete on the 21st of January. Check in and see new complete date of today. What does it mean?

So...
In order to get scholarship money to NU, you have to submit both of these by MARCH 1:
1. Need Access App (everyone can get to this)
2. Supplemental Scholarship App (only ADMITTED students can get to this)

Does this mean that they will send out all decisions by March 1? I feel like that isn't at all possible. So if the answer is "no", then at least some admitted students will not be able to apply for scholarships because they will miss the March 1 deadline.

Is this how this works? If so, that's a big bummer.

It might not mean anything...good or bad. Sounds like a few people on this thread had date changes. (I personally haven't.)

It's been a while since I went through applications, but I'm pretty sure it's March 1 or 2 weeks (or some other amount of time like that) after your acceptance if your acceptance was after March 1.

Took the LSAT this past Saturday. Hoping it'll put me in Northwestern's good grace. Three weeks of waiting for the score :D

This is probably the quietest our thread has been in a while...calm before the storm?

Nothing from Johann yet today- but then you never know with that guy.

I'm in your shoes. Some ED helds were accepted last week, but I haven't heard anything yet either

+1. Held from ED, submitted an additional LOR and LOCI. Also retook the Feb LSAT. Have you guys heard anything about those 4 essays that the others are talking about?

Just spoke with the admissions office and was told that another decision will be issued for ED hold applicants, either admit/deny or reaffirming the hold. I take reaffirming the hold to mean that ED hold would then be in the RD hold pool, so I expect we would receive the further instructions others are talking about then.

Hope this helps.

They didn't happen to mention WHEN we might expect this decision, did they?

So I've been waiting on my former supervisor to write me a LOR for months now (with much prodding and many reminders). We have a really good relationship but she is just really busy. I submitted my app with academic LORs and Northwestern marked my application complete.

Do you think they will evaluate my app without the professional LOR?

^^I would think so unless you told them to hold your app for the LOR, but I might be wrong

That would be very welcome news if true! I was under the impression that Northwestern required a work-related LOR.

Someone else should chime in, but I think if you're complete that they'll probably put you in the queue to review

I looked at my status checker for the first time today and saw that I've been "application complete" for over three months. Is this normal?

Just have to ask ... how do you have enough willpower to not look at your status checker for three months? Envious.

Anyone else still on late nov(or earlier) complete? I don't mind that they went over the 8 weeks, but I'm starting to get genuinely concerned that they lost my app or something. It doesn't seem likely, but still. Would it be inappropriate to call the admission office?

I would (will, if I must) call at the 8 week mark. Definitely. I don't see how it's inappropriate. If you're nice and genuine, they won't think you're being aggressive or rude.
If anything, it shows you really care too.
