Last year I was placed on hold in the same early February wave as you guys. There will be two "optional" (but not really optional) hold essays, and you'll get info about that soon. Last year the two prompts were 1. if you could meet any fictional character, who and why? and 2. what career would you have chosen if you didn't go into law? There was a 2 page limit (double spaced) for each I think.
Whether you were planning on writing an LOCI or not, just know that more writing is coming. Good luck!!

Sorry if this has already been discussed. How long should I wait with an "Application Incomplete" status following my off-campus interview before contacting the admissions office?

Really? 4 optional essays? That is an interesting move. I'd be annoyed as an applicant, but NU will for sure find out which candidates are actually interested. I can imagine there being some HLS admits that won't want to write even a page about meeting a fictional character. I don't know if I want to give NU credit for making an effort to pick out the most interested students or criticize NU for YP'ing. Either way, its bold.

Could someone link me back to specific interview questions in this thread? Can't seem to find them and I know I saw them buried in here somewhere.

The last post on page 3 refers to some of them and mentions that they were originally posted in last year's thread.LoganFL wrote:Could someone link me back to specific interview questions in this thread? Can't seem to find them and I know I saw them buried in here somewhere.

Hi all, so I'm also held.
Just wondering -- are the hold essays just due anytime before April 2? Sorry, just a bit confused.

The admissions packet comes with a customized moleskine. It might be the OCD in me but I was very excited. Good luck to everyone still waiting! And those who were held don't give up hope!

+1. Held from ED, submitted an additional LOR and LOCI. Also retook the Feb LSAT. Have you guys heard anything about those 4 essays that the others are talking about?monsterman wrote:I'm in your shoes. A few people have reported close to 2 weeks while it seems most a reporting close to a week. I believe one person in this thread called at two weeks and they apologized and switched it for her/him right away.gta wrote:Bumping myself here. I personally wouldn't call before the two week mark. Also make sure you reported the date on the interview portal and that you sent your interviewer a thank you before you call

Thanks - I would hit the two week mark in a few days, so I'll wait until then to call the office.yossarian71 wrote:A few people have reported close to 2 weeks while it seems most a reporting close to a week. Any thoughts as to whether NU will be giving $150k to ED next year? Basically my only shot at significant money in t14, thinking about retaking and reapplying next cycle.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
