Checking in. Just submitted my app on LSAC today. What has been the average amount of time before hearing back with status checker, interview details, etc.?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Got mine less than a day later.lawschool22 wrote:Checking in. Just submitted my app on LSAC today. What has been the average amount of time before hearing back with status checker, interview details, etc.?
Thanks!
However, it says my app is incomplete. Anyone have ideas why that would be?

Hey Philly! If you choose to interview, your app isn't complete until the interview is conducted. For off campus interviews, you should be assigned an interviewer within 3 weeks of applying I believephillywc wrote:Got mine less than a day later.lawschool22 wrote:Checking in. I got in off waitlist in 2012 with worse numbers in all three areas.objection_your_honor wrote:How are apps looking for splitters? I have a X.XX/XXX with X years professional work experience (please don't quote). I will be applying in a couple of weeks but I know I'm right on the edge and nothing is guaranteed. I missed the deadline to request an offcampus interview for ED. I'm not sure what to do now. It will be impossible for me to visit Chicago before November 15 due to work obligations.

I've already decided I want to set up an interview (non-ED). My question is this: do you think there's an advantage to one or the other (on vs off campus interview)? I'm somewhat leaning toward off-campus, both to save $$ and for convenience, but also since I work at a medical center in town (I'm a PhD) along with a technology company and I'm thinking if I interview with someone more local we may have a better conversation and he/she would also understand certain aspects of my background/work/education related to this geographic location. What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

If you interview on-campus, your file becomes complete a lot faster vs. off-campus where you may have to wait weeks. However, I had my interview with an admissions officer and it was pretty formal - a lot of specific questions and less conversational (granted, I'm not the best interviewer). I also feel that an alum would judge less harshly because he/she isn't trying to touch upon certain attributes, but rather is looking at your personality/likability overall. Maybe I'm wrong

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I plan on submitting my application tonight, so I figure even with the lag time associated with an off-campus interview it should still be completed relatively "early" in the cycle.orangec90 wrote:mx23250 wrote:I've already decided I want to set up an interview (non-ED). I know this is, in variant degrees, in the thread, but can someone tl;dr me--- how large a disadvantage is choosing "no" for the interview question, if someone is comfortably above both medians? Could it affect scholarships?

I don't know how bad it actually is, but my uninformed guess is that they would draw negative inferences from that decision.wtrc wrote:I know this is, in variant degrees, in the thread, but can someone tl;dr me--- how large a disadvantage is choosing "no" for the interview question, if someone is comfortably above both medians? I did an interview, partially for that reason, partially as practice for interviews at other schools.

I can only say that I got in last year without interviewing.

Submitted my application to Northwestern 10/15. I already had my interview but I never got a status checker or email confirming my application. Anyone else in the same boat? I don't know If I should email them since its been over 2 weeks.

I know a friend who got full ride without interview being above both medians, but obviously, this is anecdotal. I don't know if there is any official communication regarding this matter.wtrc wrote:I know this is, in variant degrees, in the thread, but can someone tl;dr me--- how large a disadvantage is choosing "no" for the interview question, if someone is comfortably above both medians?
