I must not have heard you correctly but did you say you just spent 7 hours on one exam???
What am I getting myself into here?

They'll probably say "retake the LSAT." If you were at least held with that LSAT, presumably the rest of your background is good. You gotta retake, man. There's just no other option. 149 will basically lock you out of all good schools.

Thanks! And I submitted on 10/30. When was your interview?
The end of October, and I went complete the next day, but the review message didn't change to the one sentence under review until 12/10 UGH
Between this and Penn i'm having a disappointing December! #veryfirstworldproblems

I never noticed being under review. Like the last thing I noticed was "complete" and that was either the 18th or the 19th. I *think* I checked yesterday. I submitted mid-November.

Heard correctly! It actually wasn't all that bad, I took a little nap in the middle.

Okay that would probably at least explain the delay between my decision and yours. I changed to the one sentence on 11/25.

Maybe your interviewer procrastinated on turning in your eval?

Interesting theory, but I went complete the next day after my interview, and the guy said he submits the same day as the interview to keep things moving. Oh well, I'll just go back to waiting! Thanks for indulging me

Everything else I did must've helped me.
Thinking about retaking the LSAT but Idk. That's in February. Sort of want to know asap whether I get in or not. Northwestern is my #1 choice.
I'm going to call them in two weeks and see if they can tell me what I need to specifically do to boost my app. Doubt they will.
Till then, updating transcript, sending two letters of rec, and continued letter of interests.
If I by the grace of God get into Northwestern, UChicago, and Harvard, I'll most likely choose Northwestern.
The love for the school and Chicago is too great. Plus, I'm not all about a competitive and arrogant environment lol
Not to sound harsh but I would consider it the grace of God that you were even held. You must have some attractive qualities. Certainly retake that sucker!
I hate to sound like a broken record, but you should totally devote the next month and half and study! Even if you break into the high 150s or 160s, which is totally attainable, you make yourself more competitive. The LSAT is a major B but learnable if you're willing to take the time (and maybe not sleep until Feb 9.)

Nope. I am with a sub-160 LSAT and middle of the road GPA and got in.

You should retake. I was held last year as a URM but I had higher numbers. I never got taken off the list and I rode it all the way until September.
Rode it until September?
Yeah, I most likely will!

Maybe this has already been asked but do you mind if I inquire: are you a URM?

Congrats on getting in!
Looking at the numbers, it is mostly true that NU took only high numbers to begin its cycle.
