The hold questions are to help them know us better but what different does it really make?

I guess they want to know how serious you are about them and how many loops you are willing to jump for them... So if there are couple of empty seats in the entering class to fill, they want to offer them to people who are most likely to matriculate.Luchi91 wrote:The hold questions are to help them know us better but what different does it really make?

The more I've gone through the process... Tours, class visits, and taking with students, they seem to cater to a very certain type of student. I think the essays are an additional way to either trip you up or strengthen your app.

And further, some people were admitted later so they won't know about scholarships until after the 11th, so they will have more time before they withdraw/enroll as well.Ricky-Bobby wrote:The RD scholarship offer response deadline is this Friday (4/11). Technically, the seat deposit is still due on the 30th, but that would only apply to someone without a scholarship offer. To accept a scholarship offer you have to send your first seat deposit.whereskyle wrote:Hey all! IDK if those who haven't heard anything will hear this week. From what I heard at ASW, people who have been offered admission are looking at a deposit deadline this Friday. That means that hold applicants and anyone still waiting will likely start seeing movement next week. GL!
Johann tweeted: "Next day for decisions: Monday, 4/7/14" on Friday, so it sounds like at least some people will hear today.

Get that practice test score and apply ED.theramblingfool wrote:I'm out. It's actually a relief more than anything. I would have strongly considered attending at sticker, but I'm wholly confident I can manage a June LSAT to get *much* better results next cycle. The 167 I got on the LSAT was lower than any PT I ever did (including diagnostic) and a full 9 points lower than my average.
I'll see you guys at NU, but I'll be a year behind you. Good luck!

Sorry to hear RF. With an LSAT score like that and ED apps next year, you're going to have a fantastic cycle.theramblingfool wrote:I'm out. It's actually a relief more than anything. I'm held. NU, show me the hoops, I'm ready to jump. But don't confuse my willingness for enthusiasm.

Very sorry to hear that RF, but glad you got closure, and good luck next year (not that you need it).theramblingfool wrote:I'm out. It's actually a relief more than anything. Yep all of April now opened up for spots. Wonder if earlier holds can sign up for those slots too? I would assume so...
