I was held...is there a general consensus on whether held applicants are usually accepted or rejected? Can you be held and then waitlisted or are the two the same thing?

Held. Honestly, they don't owe me anything given my LSAT, so I can't complain. Seems like waitlist isn't a hold- hold can turn into Admit, Deny, or WL. So its more of an intermediary step, it seems.

What the heck is a hold? I got that too. You also have to fill out a questionnaire to help them get to know you better...is this a WL? Confused.

Is kind of a quasi-waitlist. You have to respond to something to still be under consideration, like waitlists, but it says they'll begin reviewing them in April at which time they will notify of a admit, deny, or waitlist decision (and notes it will do so earlier if possible).scoobers wrote:so these have been only holds? will there be a WL or does hold = WL?

Glad to hear that NU is treating holds in the usual way. The best way I've heard statuses described is this (in this order):
Accept: they want you
Hold: they think they want you, but they want to take a look at the applicant pool.
WL: they might want you, but there is for sure an entire class, that they will fill, whom they would rather have (unless YP)
Deny: they just plain don't want you
