They are talking about video essays for held applicants. There is a group of applicants that is held for further review (essentially no decision), and they were asked to submit essays indicating their interest in NU. You do not need to worry about this as someone who has just gone complete.sue4398 wrote:I hope I'm not hugely uninformed when I ask- what are the videos you all are mentioning in recent posts??
Just had my interview yesterday (off campus) and went complete last night. Hoping I'm not forgetting something..

It appears Johann's pho has put him in a good mood. So obviously we are all getting admitted today.

I looked into this because I thought I recognized her. That pic is of a dating advice columnist in Chi-town. So, if it is her, I'm super intrigued.slackademic wrote:is that a picture of you in your avatar? if so, I strongly advise against doing that.leigh912198972 wrote:^^ similar situation for me.

Did anyone (accepted or still waiting) interview before submitting their application? I interviewed on campus in the fall but didn't submit my app until early Feb. Went complete Feb 5. No other date changes and I have confirmed with admissions that my interview record has been linked with my file. Just curious if anyone else has experience with this accelerating or delaying the process.

I interviewed at the end of October before submitting my app. Sent it in mid-jan. It completed right after, and nothing happened ever since.brrrrcat wrote:Did anyone (accepted or still waiting) interview before submitting their application? Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
my app went complete on tuesday after i submitted sunday night (late as f**k i know, pleasant surprise in feb lsat score) and while the "Status:" on the right hand box reads Application Complete, the heading of the whole status checker reads "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee" .... ? does this mean its really under review or does it say under review on the "Status:" thing on the right hand box? thanks

At NU, you're never "under review." You're always just complete though you might have date changes.
Hope that helps all three posters above!
