Today is my 10th day on PT (went complete morning of the 7th), I'm super excited but have a feeling I'll wind up on the WL.

Yeah so I got put on Priority Reserve (3.4 173). Now I'm nervous about the rest of this cycle, I just want to get in somewhere in the T14 :|

I have no idea how many people do overall, but your post inspired me to add some PT analytics to the Duke spreadsheet. Let me know if you guys think of any others.

I missed the spreadsheet, just found it on an earlier page and adding my approx stats now

OP: Can you add the spreadsheet to the main post?

Also, the analytics are great- if you wanted to add them to the HLS spreadsheet I created if it's possible to do so without any real work on your end other than like copying and pasting would be awesome (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... mQWc#gid=0)

When I get to a computer I'll take a look. It may be simple, but depends on how uniform the data people have entered is. I was going to do an HLS one, but since you have one already it may be better to add them to that.

Also if you check the admissions forum there is a main thread I started with links to all of the spreadsheets I've created thus far.

Yes, you are totally YP'ed here. Don't worry. If you really want Duke and let them know through a LOCI, you'll get in. What is your top choice?

Well I am interested in Duke and I got Priority reserve with 177, 3.6 on Thursday. Send them a LOCI that same day, so if they are really YP, we should find out soon(obv not conclusive cuz maybe they YP him, and they just don't like him, but still)

So Duke is literally the only school that I know of that explicitly says in the instructions that they average multiple LSAT scores unless there is an addendum telling them why not to do so.

Did y'all write an addendum? It seems like the people getting putting on P.R. with high numbers all had multiple takes here? I am still in my 10 day period, but I also have multiple takes...

That's a good point, but I think that if they average my LSAT scores it's still higher than their median.

But obv they could have different reasons for putting us on their PR, who knows.

Didn't write an addendum -- didn't know they explicitly say they average scores.
My average score will be at their median.

edwardt1988, you know you will get into t6. Take me with you

Ha, thanks. I'll stay away from predicting anything about my acceptances until I get one acceptance, lol

From the app instructions:

Duke considers all LSAT scores that are submitted, in the context of the entire application (transcripts, personal statement, letters of recommendation, evidence of leadership and engagement, and other information). In the case of multiple test scores, data show that the average score is generally the most useful in predicting law school performance; however, Duke may place greater weight on a high score if the applicant provides compelling information about why that score is a better indication of his or her potential. If you feel that one or more of your test scores does not accurately reflect your ability or potential, please use the Miscellaneous Addendum attachment to explain this disparity.

That's very possible, the 3.6 is at the 25th percentile (3.59) essentially, just the LSAT is way over their 75th (170).

I haven't heard from them yet, on like day 5 of the 10 days now, so TBD soon

Scared now. Thanks gang.

I applied 11/15.

LSAT: 162 > 173
GPA: 4.0
Wrote a "Why Duke"
Wrote an addendum for the LSAT score

Any idea as to what I can expect? You guys seem to know much more about trends than I do.

I'm not an expert, but I doubt Duke puts averaging into practice. Just anecdotally: I did not have an addendum and my 3 LSAT scores average to 167 but I got in. I think my fellow re-takers shouldn't worry so much :D

Went complete today under PT. An email for Duke said the Thanksgiving Holiday will not count as one of the ten days, so I won't get a decision until early December.
