I have been complete since 11/4 (RD non PT) with no changes. I have not even gone under review. should I be concerned at this point?

I have been complete, ready for review since late october, also RD and not PT.

This seems to be a theme with my apps. What are your stats like? I'm <25th GPA / >75th LSAT, I'm guessing that makes a difference in my case? They probably don't want to admit me, but are holding my app just in case they get super desperate later...

Applied in late October. I had to send in a dean's certification. I think they confirmed it in the middle of November.

Is this priority reserve thing just a waiting list under a better name?
So heartbroken.
The email terrified me a lot: applicant pool is "exceptionally strong"and the competition is "particularly fierce".
OMG, are my other applications doomed?

Did you send a Why Duke? Your stats look solid for Duke, they will likely want more commitment.

I applied EDII with the accelerated 10 day response offer and got placed on Priority Reserve. 164/3.8.

What does Priority Reserve mean? Is it different from the general waiting list? Also, does it matter when I accept the Priority Reserve spot? Like would I be higher up on the list (aka more likely to be let in) if I accept earlier, or does it not matter when I choose to accept it?

Sorry if this was answered earlier; I couldn't find any explanation on Duke's website or this forum.

Correct me if I'm uninformed, but according to the musings I've heard, it's possible that Priority Reserve essentially puts you on the top of the pile for RD applications. This may be entirely incorrect though.

How would I go about sending any of that stuff? Should I send it online via LSAC or via snail mail? Is it appropriate to send a LOCI in this case?

I sent an email to the admission office with a LOCI. I think it's better than the waitlist because the waitlist at Duke doesn't get a decision til May at the earliest. At least we'll know SOMETHING before then.

For anyone attempting to write a LOCI, I highly recommend taking a look at faculty profiles and watching videos on Duke's youtube channel. They're great and offer a taste of what some of the 1L professors are about, as well as offering an idea of what happens during lunch events.

ALSO

might want to check out this specific video on Duke Campout, the process by which basketball season tickets are distributed. It's a fun event with a lot of drinking and merriment.
