Just accepted! When do people typically get notified of scholly info?

Within a couple of weeks I think. They haven't given out much though and their scholarship retention rate is concerning.

Not my top preference, but in the running. Still impatiently waiting on UC Hastings/Davis and hoping to hear back from them soon.

When did you submit to those two? I'm in at Hastings but still waiting for Davis as well. Are you inclined to Hastings or Davis?

According to LSN, people have been rejected who applied long after I did so that makes me feel like an acceptance/waitlist is just around the corner. Hopefully this week will yield some decisions.

Your stats may be a smidge low to be honest. But I'll be rooting for you still!

I went complete 1/15, so hopefully I should be hearing back within the next couple of weeks. Definitely more inclined towards Hastings - the Bay Area is very appealing to me based on my past visits.

Yea you may hear back within next 2 weeks or so I would assume since you'd be under review for over a month.
And yea Bay Area is awesome that's for sure. Btw people. If you all are looking for housing, let me know! I live in the East Bay and I rent out rooms to undergrad or grad students and it'd be awesome to have you guys at my place. I'm like 30 minutes out from Hastings with regular traffic.

Went complete 11/12 and still haven't heard back. Anyone talk to admissions and know when the next batch of decisions is coming out?

Haven't decided but its between Hastings, Davis, and USC.
SCU is super stingy with its financial aid historically. One of my friends who applied last cycle got barely anything. And then when he renegotiated, they laughed in his face over the phone.

Thought I'd check in (I've been lurking forever). Accepted 2/28 (complete 1/27). Just got my scholly offer on 3/5, received an Emery for 30k. Obviously I'm pretty happy with this $, but concerned about retention. My offer didn't mention any stips, or even if it was renewable (though according to the website, it is). If the stips are not too insane, it's a pretty attractive offer...

Whats your stats and did you have softs? URM?
And its always 3.0 stip unless it's a Dean or IP Fellowship. Their retention rate is disastrous. Over half of their recipients lose it after 1L. I think they are a school that may scholly stack in sections. That rumor was floated around earlier on but the retention rate here would seem there is a potential for that

3.8/163. Non-URM, but I've had about 4 years work experience in criminal justice reform. Those retention rates on the website are pretty depressing. I definitely cannot afford SCU on sticker.

Yea those retention rates are abysmal. Anyone had success negotiating away a stip at any school?

I had a letter from SCU from a couple weeks ago that for some reason I completely didn't read and totally forgot about. Found it today and saw that they awarded me $30k/year with a 3.0 GPA requirement. Interesting indeed.

Whats your stats?
Your profile says 173 LSAT? Why they heck are they not offering you a Dean's Fellowship or IP Fellowship? 173 blows their numbers out of the water.

I don't place a very high value on rank, but it's disappointing that Santa Clara dropped to #107 overall and to #4 for IP law in the 2015 U.S. News rankings. Doesn't alter my positive experience with the school but it doesn't *add* sparkle and shine, either.

Here's the list.
I'm not committing yet. Still weighing factors, offers, and pondering my existence.

Do not go there unless they give you a scholarship you can't turn down. They cannot compete with Stanford and Berkeley. They aren't even third tier in the area....they are invisible

Haha fair enough. I don't like their scholarship stip and the fact that they seem to be stacked with engineers returning back to school. I think that has a less than true employment stat. Plus the rank drop is just blech.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
