Admitted last Friday with $$$. :)

Complete late Nov. <25th GPA >75th LSAT

Also, does anyone know how to find the merit aid offered through the phone on their ASW? They offered way more then I expected so I just wanna double check to make sure I didn't hear them wrong. :P

Hopefully it was just an overlook, as UCLA with significant aid would be very competitive with Minnesota as my top choices outside of the T14, but if I'm getting nothing from UCLA, that full-ride from Minnesota is, no contest, more attractive, weather notwithstanding (and oh, am I beyond tired of the weather up here).

Any update on this? I just got in via call as well but with no mention of $ and judging by my numbers vs. others' who are getting $$$ I should be getting some $$$ 8)

Not yet, but hopefully soon. Dean Schwartz wanted to set up a time to speak by phone, but my work hours were incompatible with 9-5 PST. I'm either giving a call tonight or getting an emailed response hopefully tonight and will pass along any info afterward.

Waitlisted with GPA 3.3 (Columbia undergrad) and 155 LSAT (no class) URM, out of school 1-2years, applied ED

Question: when should I submit letter of continued interest? Next month I will be getting a new job in non-profit and want to mention that in the letter. Is February too late to submit the first LOCI? Should I retake the LSAT? I wrote my addendum on how my LSAT score would be competitive if I had taken a class so should I take a class and retake it? Is it worth it?

Yes you should retake the LSAT, especially since you acknowledged in your addendum that you know any easy way of increasing your score.

Umm I don't think you should've written that addendum...just sounds awkward and it's not like classes really help other than giving you the bare bone basics (unless you mean some specific class or one on one tutoring). Definitely study more and retake.

Just got the call!

I submitted my app on 12/29, so it was a big surprise that they got back to me in a week!
My numbers are higher than a few who have been offered $, but there was no mention of it for me.

So I applied ED to UCLA with a 163 and was dinged in November. I retook in December and got a 167. Anyone know if I could be reconsidered in RD?

I agree with the previous poster - not sure if you should have written an addendum, but since you did you might want to retake (personal choice of course). No need to take a class :). I did because I was offered money to take it, but I found out that the Powerscore LSAT Bibles are basically like taking a class (I did both, it was basically the same). Learn the exact same stuff, but this is a self-study course so if you can practice yourself, this will save hundreds of dollars.

I was waitlisted too, and I remember Dean Schwartz telling me to send in a LOCI March/April. I forget the exact month, but he said they won't even look at the waitlist until March or April, so that's the perfect time to do it.

We should make a Waitlist UCLA thead :). I am also doing non-profit/public interest work, applied ED, taking 2 years off, but not URM though.

Yes a thread would be so helpful. :D I'll consider taking the June LSAT.

I think your best bet would be to call the admissions office and ask or email. I hope you can get reconsidered buddy.

Update: long story short and passing along what I believe UCLA would like passed along, if individuals are seriously interested in UCLA and did not receive a merit offer by phone, that window is not necessarily closed for the cycle, but UCLA would prefer reaching out to them (admissions/financial aid) directly based on your individual situation and interest rather than assuming offers are a simple function of LSAT/GPA.

This may be a stupid question, but, I'm working abroad and have no phone they can reach me on.. Will they e-mail if they're unable to reach me via phone? The postal system here isn't exactly reliable either..

Waitlisted just now via email. 1 point below median LSAT, exact median GPA. Lifelong east-coaster
