But Dean Schwartz probably thinks I'm a freak. I pretty much cried when he told me I had been admitted and almost dropped my cup of coffee. I was in Starbucks. Awkward. lol

Ah, I'm happy for you! What a cute story. The Starbucks ppl should've given you a free victory drink :D Thanks for answering my q!

Lol, hopefully I will receive a phone call. I know they say they don't, but do you think that they actually do # or "group" their WL applicants?? And they say they WL hundreds of applicants... do you believe they actually do o_O ??

Withdrew today. Couldn't even begin to consider attending at full-price. A little disappointed I was turned down for a scholarship, as UCLA would have been a real option. Good luck everyone!

I hope I'm wrong, but my gut feeling is telling me that the reason they're accepting people off the waitlist before giving initial decisions to others (like myself), is because they have already decided to deny us. I haven't gotten the email yet, but I'll be on the look out.

If it helps, it seems to be people who applied for specific programs (i.e. CRS and Epstein) so their admission is probably not completely related to others'

I still haven't got a decision - submitted early November complete early January - should I send a letter of continued interest or is that strange for someone not waitlisted?

I wouldn't just yet. I've been complete for a long time too. Hopefully, there is some movement this week.

Lolzz I sent an early loci with no initial decision. Sent it to the dean and he said to come visit campus and meet with an ad comm. so I drove from utah and did the tour and met with them. Do you think his will help?? I think I've done about all I can do at this point.

Accepted earlier today and definitely hoping it matches USC's substantial scholarship offer. Still, I'm not sure if it's worth relocating to California from NJ unless it's for UC Berkeley or Stanford.

Anyone else from the East Coast somewhat considering UCLA?

Any movement thus far this week? Admissions lady told me all decisions would be made by the end of April.

Is the ePAL supposed to include scholarship money? Does getting an ePAL showing that I can take out ~70K in loans per year mean that I would have to go sticker?

Waitlisters start sending LOCI already? How many $100 is it recommended you slip into your letter?

UCLA will not be matching USC scholarships (I tried). This is a culmination of the following reasons:

-they are no longer butting heads in rankings
-UCLA is substantially cheaper than USC (they will point this out to you)
-they don't have to; people are willing to attend UCLA without a match

They will not much your total USC amount but they will still up you to the point where it will be cheaper for your to go to UCLA. SO say USC offered 120k and UCLA 75k, UCLA will probably bump you to 105k therefore making UCLA cheaper(for in state). That's based upon from what I saw on LSN. UCLA is 10k cheaper of in state about 3-4 for out of state. The only problem is that private schools usually raise their tutions every year in a more predicatable pattern. Public schools don't raise them every year but when they do it is in big chunks.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
