Super congrats. I submitted late November as well with similar-ish numbers. Cannot tell you how happy it makes me that they haven't admitted all the November people they're going to take yet! :D #pointlessoptimism #pleasepleasepleasecallmetoo, yale

Wild speculation: Yale is taking longer to send out their big Ding-Wave because they are increasing the size of their WL due to the downturn in applications.

Really, this doesn't change anything as a Yale WL is notorious for being a delayed ding but hey, now more of us can share in this distinct honor.

I did not cure cancer. I considered myself above-average in terms of softs because I've spent the last 3 years working for a new government agency that gets a fair amount of attention in the legal/policy community. So I don't think that makes me "highly unique," but now that I have been admitted, I think that helped a lot.

I'm waiting on a third LOR. Not sure when I should give up hope and just submit.

Acceptances today, thinking there may be bad news tomorrow? (Or maybe MORE GOOD NEWS, for those half-fullers out there.)

So...as an October-complete guy, does this mean I should start giving up hope? Am I cooked?

has anyone done any basic analytics on what yale chances are if you've also been admitted to harvard and stanford?
so maybe comparing those who've gotten into hys versus hs and no y.

I'm curious about this as well.

Hmmm I've absolutely seen this somewhere in last year's threads. I'm thinking maybe a Regulus post?

I thought I saw data suggesting that 20 and 67 percent of those accepted by HLS are accepted by Yale and Stanford respectively. I cannot find the thread, so I could be wrong. It may have also been that HLS accepts 80 and 67 percent of those accepted by Yale and Stanford respectively.

It was definitely one of these two.

Highly doubt it's this one. 800x.67 = 536 and stanford only offers ~400.

Ya, so I'm thinking it's probably the second case then. I'll keep looking for the thread...

An unscientific way to get a feel is to go to LSN in the user field and run the LSAT/GPA grid starting say at 175/3.9. Even at that level of combined numbers and up a significant number who apply (and get accepted) at HLS and SLS either don't apply to YLS or do not get accepted if they did apply.

Sorry if this has been asked before--I haven't been able to find an answer through the search function. I'm submitting my application this week and am waiting for a February retake score. Can I/Should I email YLS and ask to hold my application until the new score is in?

I think you can inform them that you are waiting for a Feb LSAT score. But wait for others to confirm.

Happy Valentine's day all!!

I went complete in November. I got in 8 days before April's ASW. Don't try to guess their process
