Even with no shot of getting in, this just makes me feel sick.

Of course they have started reviewing applications (they consitently release their first round of decisons before Christmas) but unless you think hearing early is an advantage, there isn't any advantage for early applicants.

I haven't applied to YLS yet. Having said that, has nobody from TLS gotten in, or have they not called anyone yet? I doubt they'd be calling people at midnight, lol

They called people on the west coast as late as 1 AM last year and emails as late as 3:40 AM for foreign students (all times Eastern).

I had too much time on my hands last week and read the whole c/o 2016 thread. As they said last year, Asha keeps funny hours.

JUST GOT IN. :o

the call came about 20 minutes ago, have no idea why they're still up over there on the east coast.

Congrats!! What a dream come true!

They stay up late there at Yale and even make admissions calls on Sundays. :)

Your 179/4.0/Yale is TTT. Have you considered a retake?

Midnight Eastern. The first round of admissions is (most likely) over and only one TLSer. Enjoy the holidays guys. :)

Hahaha I have less than no chance of getting in here but I am flattered.

Yes, they called later last year but that was when they had "bigger" waves. The first wave is usually really small.

pacifica and Elston Gunn were the first two people who got in last year right?

Elston Gunn's LSN indicates it was 12/23.

So we should still have chances.

Yeah, you could be right but I don't think there have been two days of calls before Christmas before.

ETA: Wow, I didn't realize that. I stand corrected. :D

Is the $60 application fee accurate?
